I've had it before in both feet. I went to my podiatrist and she gave me little inserts and within a few weeks it was gone. I don't remember If I continued to run w it
My heel has been bothering me like crazy. I've taken off two days of running then ran yesterday. Heel hurts again;(. I know I need more time off and it sucks!
Why is it so hard not to run! I'm cross training anyway which can only benefit me anyway
Just curious if you've had it if you continued to run or took a break
I took time off. Two weeks, I think. PF is one of those injuries that if you let it get bad you have to take a looooong time off, so I wanted to be safe and get out ahead of it. Sorry you're dealing with it--it does totally suck!

I have it, but I've only been diagnosed since March. What kind of shoes are you wearing when you aren't running? You may need more support over all, I know if I go a few days without wearing supportive shoes that my PF flares up.
Also, how old are your inserts? They wear out just like running shoes, and most podiatrists say you should replace them every 2 years or so, depending on how quickly the materials wear out.
I also have problems when I slack off the stretching/rolling/icing routine my doctor gave me, so if you used to do something like that and now you aren't, you might want to start up again. GL getting it back under control!
Take time off. My husband and I both had it but he didn't take time off while I did. Mine healed within 1-1.5 weeks while his got even worse and he needed multiple injections and he's still no at 100%.
I would take time off, stretch it, ice it and see if it gets better.
I've taken off since February and am still not back to 100%. Lots of stretching, icing, exercises, night splint, injections, shoe inserts - feels fine until I try to run again (which my doc has ok'd). Really starting to bum me out, though.
