Never mind on the classic Chanel flap bag. It's way over $1K.
I know. I was like, Oh honey. Nope!
I wish I could have one! If I ever win a big powerball I will get you one.
Aw, thanks!
I find it sad for me whenever I look at these bags that were over $1K and I'm like "It's too much! Maybe one day...". Then now it's turning out to be about over $2K now because of inflation.
I think that's a good call -- neverfullish (well, the neverful is Goyardish) but not as similar to your other one!
Do you know what the current price is? Nearly impossible to find out online.
I think $1,035 for the PM. At least that's what it was last summer.
That said, I have 2 and the handles on both look awful. They peel and are ripping. I sent one for repair and it's starting again. I had the Fidji, but the actual canvas got cracks and Barney's let me exchange it when it was about 6 months old.
I just did a quick google search, and that looks similar to the icomfort. Oh my goodness, I've never loved a mattress so much in my life. Too bad they are $$$.

With customization, a St Louis PM would be around 1400 in the US. And I hear rumors of another price increase at the start of the year (I not-so-secretly stalk Goyard b/c of a white Saigon I saw years ago ) after a price increase at the start of this one. Ugh.
I'd buy a pair of Lanvin boots or a Burberry leather trim trench. They're both more than the budget, but I'm not a MM regular, so do I have to stick to the budget? Ha.

I'm amazed by this thread and how many people want $$$ purses. I've never seen a purse I would drop $1k on!
I'm obviously shopping at the wrong stores!
See, and I was having trouble finding a bag that I love that wasn't over her $1000 price limit
Ditto, v. This thread is fun. After the holidays we should do a "show off your bag" thread. There is some surprisingly great taste hiding on MM and it all popped up in reply to this. Love it. I am also in the camp of having fewer, nicer things.
I have very little in terms of accessories, but adore everything I wear daily. Every other year or so I get a great handbag and they all make me super happy.
Of all the replies, I vote for shoes and bag. The Goyard would be a win. Please update once you purchase!!!
I'd really think about an amazon gift card. Think about all the little stupid stuff you can buy over the next year that you won't want to spend the money on.
Not this! Anything but this. (Well not anything...)
I totally get the idea, gravytrain, but how sad to think of this time next year and OPs splurge was spent on all that stupid crap....versus having a fabulous Goyard that she can use all the time and adores. No contest!!

A trench! I should consider that.
What are you doing up so early?!
Insomnia. I'm usually asleep early, then up at least an hour or so every night before I can manage to go back to bed for another few hours. I would say it's my body prepping me for a newborn, but I've always been a notoriously bad sleeper.
So, when I'm up, I have to look for new things to read sometime! Ha!
Oh, and I meant to say if you don't get your tote painted, you could come in at *just* over your budget. And then get it customized a bit later.

I will say, I love reading your threads where you talk about shoes or bags. You have great taste
