I work as a graduate library assistant for the reference department of my university's library. I'm in school to be a librarian. I have also worked in preservation and government documents in the past.
This. Or more properly, SAHG (Stay At Home Grandma) and professional volunteer. The money comes from Team Lawyer.
Earlier this year I was an Administrative Assistant for the legal department of an insurance company. Generally, I am a paralegal/legal assistant when I earn a salary. While we have the kids, I'm looking at p/t something, anything.
I am the Scan/Price Coordinator in a retail store for Fortune 500 Company. I pretty much make sure all of the pricing is accurate throughout the store and make any price changes necessary. It's a lot of work but I enjoy what I do.
I am a nursing student. I also work part time at a hospital in an administrative role.
Woo hoo! How much longer do you have? LPN or RN?
RN. I am just about to wrap up my first semester, so I have about 1.5 years to go. Feel free to send me a PM so we can chat more without taking over this thread.

Temporary SAHM/Unemployed pharmacist. We moved states for DH's job, and I've been dragging my feet getting my new license, but I'm finally registered to take the law exam next month! I hope to be employed by my DD's first birthday.
share.memebox.com/x/uKhKaZmemebox referal code for 20% off! DD1 "J" born 3/2003 DD2 "G" born 4/2011 DS is here! "H" born 2/2014 m/c#3 1-13-13 @ 9 weeks m/c#2 11-11-12 @ 5w2d I am an extended breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby wearing, pro marriage equality, birth control lovin', Catholic mama.
Currently a SAHM, previously a business developer/underwriter for commercial property and a specialty, niche line of insurance.
I primarily negotiated contracts, commissions, profit sharing etc. for a group of about 65 independent agencies and brokers over a four state region. I had a decent amount of underwriting authority and oversaw a $3 million mono-line book and two underwriters.
I liked what I did well enough in the fact that I was naive and didn't know any different. The company I worked for didn't have the best, most inclusive coverage, was generally more expensive and had less than stellar service. So, it was a bit of an uphill battle most of the time.
Currently a SAHM to my kiddos, plus my nephew. I may be going back to work PT soon though. If I do, it won't be any fancy job, just a convenience store, pizza shop, or bakery job. That is all dependent on what happens with DH and his job search he is just starting. If he gets a new job that pays quite a bit more, I will continue to be a SAHM.
