I am still blown away that so many people argue "but it's such a good deal and makes me to on vacation!" No, no it's not. And if you have to be forced to go on vacation, maybe you just don't really want to go on vacation?

Lol. We sat through one to get some $ off on excursions when we went to Cancun. It was comical. I asked for a copy of a typical contract to review just for my own amusement and there were a million and one excuses as to why it wasn't possible to see a contract before the minute we wanted to sign.
Gawd, The Westin one in Maui was AMAZING. I was totally in, until they told me the price. Minimum buy in was $50k. And that was for every other year. For every year it was over $100K!

That's ridiculous. Especially when you can rent a 2 bedroom ocean front unit from an owner at the Westin Kaanapali Villas for 1K a week, like we did.

Vegas, where did you find the owner? That sounds great.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

This one I booked through ebay but typically I go through redweek.com. You need a membership to contact the owners but for the $15 it costs we've saved thousands. I highly recommend checking ebay first. Tons of timeshare owners unload their unwanted weeks there and on redweek.com.
In May we are paying $300 a night for a 2500 square foot villa timeshare/fractional ownership in Cabo where owners are charged $2500 a year just in maintenance fees (and about 100K up front for fractional ownership).
