Today we are having a BBQ! With a friend H has known since middle school. And his 18 yr old girlfriend. I'm pretty sure her last day of school was Friday.
Geez, why can't you just be happy for your friend?! He's finally found a wonderful young lady to date, and all you can do is complain and call him gross? Wow, I'm glad I'm not your friend! I hope it rains on your BBQ!

That is gross and weird. One of our friends started dating an 18 year old that was still in high school right after his divorce. He was 28 with 2 kids.
Maybe this young Lady is happy to meet her boyfriends best friends? Maybe she is very shy, because she knows a lot of stupid comments about her or his age ?
I hope you have a nice and pleasant BBQ and she enjoys the company.

I will definitely not be mean to her! I've met her before and she's very sweet. She's too good for him. She's joining the army in a few weeks and I'm glad she'll get some independence.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but my husband and I started dating when I was 21 and he was 31. We have been married for 5 years and have a one year old. Do you guys think that was gross?

No I think three years past high school is a lot different than 3 days past it.
I'm not saying there's a not a slight difference. I'm actually side-eyeing dudes that date the much-younger ladies around that age. Life experience levels are vastly different. Makes me wonder what they couldn't find in women closer to their age.
Play to catch a predator in the background! It will add ambience.
Lol. When they come in say you're just doing some laundry and ask if they want some ice tea, then tell them to wait in the kitchen, you'll be right back.

I would have thought the age difference was a big deal until I was in that situation. IRL it wasn't really a big deal, but I do agree that just out of high school is way different than just out of college.
