Okay.
Would you prefer living in a country style setting where it's always nice and quiet and no one around for miles or would you prefer to live in the hustle & bustle of a city with people everywhere you turned?

Oh, definitely the country. That is why I loved our creek house in WI so much. There is nothing I love more than the feeling of peace and solitude you get from being alone out in the country. But, if that is not an option, I would rather live in the middle of everything because of the convenience.

I miss the convenience of the city, but I have definitely come to love my 86 acres in the middle of nowhere. I'm not sure I could live in a place where I actually have neighbors again.

The tea room was nice, and my mom was absolutely thrilled with it. It was a surprise, and then when they showed us into our little nook and she saw how nice it was, she cried a little.
Yes, we did go to the river of lights and it was SO COOL. Totally worth it.
did i tell you the story when mom was visiting, and at 3 am DH got up to get a drink, but went out in his underwear, and was half asleep when he realized that mom was also in the kitchen doing the same.
he was wearing his black trunks?
from then on mom always calls him her "sexy man with sexy underwear".
i'm so glad that he's such a good sport and laughs about it. now he walks around in underwear when she's home like nothing.
i say this because i would have been mortified if roles were reversed. today, I WAS FULLY DRESSED and i asked DH to please close the door when his mom was nearby. i couldn't let her see me FULLY DRESSED as I was deciding whether to keep that outfit or change.
IF she saw me in undies I would have to divorce him.
Tadaaaa. Now THAT is a story that's neither here nor there.
That's great! I'm glad your mom liked the tea room. My friend And I are going tomorrow and I cant wait to try this months menu . The river of lights is a very cool thing to go to. My girls have a blast there.

Hahahaha! That is funny, and I would also rather die than let my MIL or (gods forbid) his stepdad see me in any state of undress. I would be uncomfortable with them seeing me in my bedroom, ffs.

I thought it was really good! And I have celiac disease, so I ordered the gf version of their food. I was expecting something blah, maybe no bread or crappy substitutes, but it was amazing! They did such a good job, and for only $2 more. Very impressed and I can't wait until I have an excuse to go there again.
I still love the theme song to Cheers. It makes me feel all nostalgic and wish I had a neighborhood hangout, you know where everyone knows my name.
I also wish that we had a neighborhood pub like that. It is one of the only things I don't like about our current neighborhood - we can't walk to any bars.

it's like that song doesn't go with the actual show. ok, maybe the words, but the music is so emotional, i agree.
we have several pubs and bars and restaurants around us, but at 10 deg, i'd take my car. i'm a weather wimp.
