I asked for a Rutgers sweatshirt from DH's cousin, who is a student there. I specifically asked for one that had embroidered letters and the body was any color BUT black, because she bought me a black screen-printed one two years ago and it faded and the letters have started to rub off. Apparently, all DH, who related the message to his cousin on Thanksgiving, heard was "black" and "embroidered letters". So I open up the package on Christmas and inside is a black sweatshirt, albeit with embroidered letters. And DH's cousin proceeds to tell me how hard it was to find a black Rutgers sweatshirt. So then I felt bad because I didn't want her to go out of her way, but grrr to DH for not listening!
Also, my mom bought me a pair of dress pants, a skirt, a pair of regular jeans, a pair of skinny jeans and 4 sweaters. All that fit were 2 sweaters and the regular jeans. The sizing was all over the place, some things were too big, others entirely too small. She really needs to stop buying me clothes, because I just end up with store credit at places where I never/hardly ever shop.
My complaint is that people keep giving us gifts that don't fit in my suitcase. We got bottles of wine, lotion, and a kitchen rug. None of this fits in my suitcase, so I'm just going to get it all when we drive down rather than flying.
My grandmother gave us russel stover chocolates, a flash light, and a candle that smells like old lady.
