I kind of agree. But it was...mesmerizing. It was such an odd, peculiar and surreal read. I still dont know if I enjoyed it or not. But I did think about it a lot afterwards, so I think it was a "good" book, if not so much an enjoyable one.

This is my feeling about IQ84. I usually like Murakami's books, but they are all starting to blend for me. I actually liked it while reading it, but didn't really get absorbed in it. And I don't know if I would recommend it.
I loved the first two books in The Hunger Games trilogy, but the final one was just awful. It took me less than 2 days to read the first two books. It took me about 3-4 WEEKS to read Mockingjay.
