I am going to try and stay away from the lose XX lbs in 2013 and concentrate more on fitness. Eat healthier (cut out sugars/pop/alcohol) and excerise more (my goal is at least 5 times/week) and hopefully weight loss will follow.
I want to lose 30 lbs and get down to the weight I was at my wedding (only 3 years ago, so this shouldn't be a pipe dream).
I plan to be more consistent in working out - ideally I'll run 3x a week and do some other cardio and strength training 2-3 times a week. 6 workouts a week might be unrealistic so I'd be happy with 5.
I don't think workouts will result in much loss, so I'm going to track everything I eat and stay within the alotted calories for losing 1 lb a week. I have a FitBit and I've started tracking my food there. I want to cut back on alcohol and eating out, which should make things much easier. We're also working on improving our budget so I'm hoping that will provide further incentive to stay on track with the drinking/eating out thing.
Basically, I don't want to do anything I can't continue so I'm not going to do anything too drastic. I do want to focus on eating more wholesome foods and being better prepared for the week so I don't end up accidentally eating 2 heavy meals in 1 day or scrounging for higher calories snacks in the afternoon because I didn't prep enough fruit/veggies.

My goal was to lose about 70 lbs during H's 8-10 month deployment. So far I have lost 12. We are almost halfway done with deployment. I realize that it is unrealistic of me to expect to lose that much now, but I am going to get serious about getting healthy and doing what I can. I really want to surprise him at homecoming by looking totally hot, instead of completely frumpy, which is how I normally look.
I'm afraid to get on the scales, so I'm not sure of my weight, but I'm going to have to get on soon so I know my starting point. I think I need to lose around 10. I'm guessing I've put on between 10 and 20 since my wedding in 2010, but I did start out slightly underweight, so I don't plan to lose it all. Frankly, I'd love to; but that weight isn't sustainable and I need to get real.
I've always had a bad relationship with food and suffered from an eating disorder years ago, so I know it will be difficult. I have bad habits, a screwed up metabolism and am under an incredible amount of stress.
But I'm going to get back on track. I wish I could say I'm going to start working out, but I already do that regularly. Same for not drinking: I hardly ever drink, maybe a glass of wine once every month or two. Sigh. I will need to really watch what I eat. My opportunity lies in cutting out unnecessary snacks and grazing.
I lost 44 pounds in 2012. I'd like lose the same in 2013. But I'm going to start with a smaller goal of 20 pounds.
I bought some Jullian Michaels' DVDs. I'm going to start those today. I'm pretty good at working out 4 days a week, but I need to work on my diet. I may try out my fitness pal again.

I am at my heaviest weight ever. I gained a ton of weight in the last six months. I have a goal, but it will probably take me all year to reach it so I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Instead I'm going to focus on making smart choices, cutting out all soda, and not buying crap. I'm also committed to spending a little more at the grocery store instead of buying whatever is on sale regardless of calories. I'm hoping that by focusing on those things the weight loss will come naturally.
I plan to lose 40 pounds in 2013 to get me back to my pre-baby weight. I will be working out will a trainer two times per week and will also do a class or 2. I will also be eating healthy. I've done it before after DD1 and I know I can do it, I just need to put my mind to it.

I'd like to lose 16 more lbs by summer. I did very well in 2012 so I plan to keep doing what I've been doing, which is basically eating a lot less and curtailing junk food.

I want to lose 40 pounds (20 of baby weight plus 20 more). I have already started today.
I do well with a set plan, so I've made up a meal plan of 7 dinners that will repeat weekly. I plan to work out on our elliptical for 30 minutes followed by 15-20 minutes of weight lifting 6 days a week after the kids go to bed. I know a lot of people don't like working out that late in the day, but I've have the most success in the past with evening workouts.
I'm cutting out all alcohol and sweets for three months. The only cheats I'm allowing myself are one piece of birthday cake for my kids' and my birthdays, which are in February and March.
I'm not eating out at all for these 3 months. We don't have many good options around here anyway, so that won't be a big sacrifice.
After 3 months, I plan to institute a once/week allowance for indulging. I think that will be realistic for a more long term lifestyle.
Yep, I'll want to loose pregnancy weight (still 1 trimester to go) plus 50 ideally. But I'll be happy if I loose whatever I gain with pregnancy plus 10-20.
I want to lose between 5-10 pounds and plan to do it by going lower carb (won't cut out carbs completely while nursing) and more interval/speed training with my running. I also want to try to take in more fruits and vegis and just bought a juicer to help with that.

I am about 40 pounds from my goal weight (with an optional additional 15 pounds toward a lower goal), after having lost 60ish pounds over the past several years (and also gaining back a bit at the end of 2012). I plan to follow WW, continue seeing my therapist to work on the reasons behind my eating issues, advance my yoga practice, and possibly take up running (or alternatively stick to the cardio I do at the gym). I would like to end 2013 at my goal weight, but more than that, I want to be in a good place as far as food is concerned, and that would be worth more than any number on a scale!
Right now, I'd be happy to lose the 5lbs that showed up in the past 2 weeks. I'm still on meds that make it virtually impossible to lose weight, and my drs have been impressed that I have maintained (and even lost some) over the past 3 months.
After I finish with the meds, I'd like to lose 20 lbs.
I plan to eat healthier and exercise more this year. I was doing well for a while in 2010 - 2011 and really feel off of the wagon during 2012. I am at my highest weight and am ready for a change. I have over 100 pounds to lose at this point. I signed up for MFP again (LiveLittle09 - add me!) and I purchased a BodyMedia Link armband to help with my journey!
I plan to eat better while tracking my calorie intake and exercising. I bought a Billie Blanks Tae Bo DVD today. I also have Insanity and Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.
I have to keep reminding myself that I had a baby 7 weeks ago. I feel so frumpy and jiggly!
I have two stages of fitness/ weight goals:
1) To fit into my existing wardrobe. I miss my clothes! I gained 25lbs while pregnant, saw my Pre pregnancy weight on the scale 2.5 weeks post partum, and bounced back up 15lb from cookies and drinking. All the remaining chub is really in my midsection. My goal for this is my husband's birthday in early April.
This will require eating well and calorie tracking. I need to be better about getting enough protein, especially early in the day. I will also track calories on the Lose It app for iPhone. I'm also going to stop drinking on school nights. I don't need the calories from my nightly beer or glass of wine. And limit 3 per night on the weekends.
It will also require daily cardio and some serious toning, especially around the core. I want to start attending a core class 3x/ week at my gym and aim for cardio 5 days/ week.
2) To look GOOD in my wardrobe, which needs a total loss of 25-30 lbs. To do so will require more of the same effort.
To make it MM... I'm too cheap to buy a whole new wardrobe!
I would like to lose 40-50 pounds. I'm tracking all of my food in MFP. I also plan on starting to run again and doing an exercise video. If I actually stick to my plan, I might get a gym membership once all the new year resolutioners are gone. I'm going to do my best to cut down on how often I eat out and cut down on drinking.
My goal is to lose 5-7 lbs this year (ideally in the first 2 months of the year). I lost 30 lbs in 2012. My plan is to drastically cut down on alcohol and workout more. I had a lot of success using a variety of Jillian Michael's DVDs and running 2 days a week. I want to keep that up.
I want to lose 20. I'm going to check out this fitness pal app that has been mentioned. I plan on cutting out alcohol this year and drinking a full glass of water before any meal. Biking, yoga, whatever it takes
Not sure what will happen with my new workout plan, but I probably will end up gaining weight in the process which is fine by me. To show results I like to have my measurements taken monthly and take photos that way I can see the results.
Good luck to everyone with their weight loss and fitness goals!
Honestly, I just want to lose 4 lbs. And tone the fat off my upper hip/love handle area. I'm only 6lbs away from wedding weight, when I was really skinny, but I just want to lose 4 damn lbs.
I love to work out and love veggies and fruit and other healthy food, so that's not a problem, but I just love food in general so I eat a lot. And I do a lot of boredom eating, which I need to stop.
So, avoid boredom eating, try to cut out more sugar and refined carbs and continue working out.
I need to lose A LOT. So instead of focusing on the number, I'm focusing on two goals: --Track EVERYTHING on MyFitnessPal. If I want a cheat day, I can have one...IF I track it all. Just the act of tracking keeps me from going crazy. --Working out at least twice a week in January, three times a week in February, four times a week in March, until I am sustaining 4-5 times per week every week.
I need to lose a lot. I weigh more now than when I went into the hospital to give birth to DS. I've pulled out the DVDs I bought last January out, some still in their packaging. I need to start being conscious of portions and everything I eat. I may sign back up for weightwatchers.
