Anyone have any big goals/plans for crafting this year?
I have hibernated a very time-consuming blanket for Christmas crafting, and I hope to stay motivated enough to finish it this year (yes, I'm anticipating it taking all year!)
Also, I want to us up lots of my extra yarn to make little toys/hats/whatevers for my niece, nephews, and all my friends babies.

1. Get my Grandma's 1954 Necchi running. 2. Sew something monthly for my own kids. 3. Try to use up some of my fabric stash. 4. Finish organizing my sewing room.
The first two are really important to me. The third requires self control I'm not sure I have. And the last is a constant goal.
I'd really like to find somewhere to set up my sewing machine and try out a few simple projects. There just isn't a good place in the house right now. A more immediate goal is to finally finish the sleeves on the cardigan I'm knitting. It was neglected during the holidays, but it shouldn't take long to do once I actually get going.
1) Finish the cross-stitch H asked me to make him 2) Learn how to use my sewing machine. I got it two years ago, and took a class at Joanne's finally this summer and learned to make a pillowcase. Haven't touched it since
I'm in the mood to finish a WIP I started years ago, so I may dig that out in the next few days
I still need to finish my SIL's Christmas present ::blushes::
I need to find the motivation to make a blanket for my mom. She bought the yarn and everything, and I don't want to do it. It's a ripple afghan with the yarn held double, and it just doesn't sound like fun to me
Right now I'm in a post-Christmas crafting fast. Haha...I knitted hats like crazy, sewed felt animals for DS, sewed him some clothes, a puppet...I needed a few days of a break.
Big things I want to get done this year- 1- His play kitchen. I'm hoping that will be his 2nd birthday gift in June. 2- I want to finish making his blocks that I started in November. Sanding is proving to take much longer than I anticipated. 3- A picnic table for DS 4- Not really crafty, but we're going to be building a bunch of raised beds soon. 5- Plenty of random sewing projects that are either in the works, or in my head. Some I need to finish soon or else they wont fit DS before he grows out of them.
We plan to build DD a loft/playhouse bed, and move her into her own room (she sleeps in her brother's room on their request currently).
I'm working on a half dozen knit dresses and shorts/leggings for her to wear to preschool (she starts on Monday). I will be making the kids new clothes all year, as usual, though- not so much a "goal".
1. I want t catch up on my scrapbooks for DDs. (all 3 of them) 2. I want to learn to use my new serger A. I bought a dress pattern that will be fun to ake as soon as I figure it out! 3. Starting a granny strip banket that will be for me! 4. I want to start some woodworking. (Cmeon has inspired me.... But different type of projects

1. I have five more blocks to make for my Swoon quilt for myself. 2. I want to limit my fabric spending this year more. 3. Make a couple of baby quilts for charity. 4. Learn how to free motion quilt.

1. Actually finish some WIPs that have been in progress for way too long (like years) 2. Sew from my stash more (thank you, scrappytripalong for clearing out some of the fabric I don't like, which should make sewing from my stash easier) 3. Sew clothes for DD 4. To go along with #4...get over my fear of knits!
