My hair is straight/naturally wavy. I let my friend (a stylist) try out her DevaCurl products on me, and I loved them. But, they're not cheap. Do any of you have any suggestions of alternatives or any tips on no/low poo washing? My hair is thick, fine, and oily.

I loved that no poo too. I use baking soda and vinegar now because its cheaper. I've only been doing it for about 3 weeks though.
You should also get a diffuser. I like the detachable bowl. I can't PIP but google it. Also, YouTube pixiecurl method. I've been blow drying my hair like that for years.
Hope this helps. FWIW, I've found YouTube to be my best friend when experimenting.

Never heard of the hair. I just scrunch my hair with gel to get the scrunched look since I have curly hair and let it air dry. I find that a diffuser makes my hair pouffy too so I skip that route.
I have curly hair too and really like the DevaCurl products but it is on the expensive side for me so I just get whatever curl styling products I feel like trying out at the time.
Stellar-thanks for your recommendations, my diffuser sucks. I found a helpful video about the pixiecurl method. I'll have to try that.
