I saw the links posted elsewhere to this. I must say you handled MM with grace, class and dignity. Good for you.
One comment I have to make is you were commenting on your shoe organization. My MIL is also a clothes, accessories, etc. purchaser (I'd say hoarder but she is compulsively organized.) What she did was purchase clear containers (and yes, they're all the same type, Rubbermaid I believe) and stores her shoes in the containers. She made labels of the shoes in each clear container but her method (a) lets her see the shoes in the containers and (b) makes her closet look hyper-organized (which it is - she even has her hangers alternating in color order.) And if my feet were a couple sizes smaller (not to mention my age, my rear-end and a few parts of the rest of me) I would totally put myself on your shopping/donate list. I got through page 5 of your Tumblr and saw very little I could criticize and a lot I liked a lot.
Mrsbpo- see, I actually did have all my shoes in the clear containers. But I heard that leather can't breathe in the plastic, which is why I ended up just leaving them in their original boxes. Unless the boxes you speak of have vent holes in them?
My dream would be to store them on shelves outside of their boxes but in glass cases to control the dust but allow me to still see them. Ahh floor to ceiling shelving with all my shoes would be awesome.
And thank you for your comment about my MM response.
Wow just saw the MM thread. Just wanted to say Carylee that your response was so full of class and grace. I know it's not always easy for us to put ourselves (and our outfits, and closets) out there for all to see and judge. I'm glad you shared though. I don't think I could get away with having a whole room closet in my house, but I love that you can and have an amazing space for yourself.

Thank you! <3 Although after all that, H just asked me if I was planning a closet room remodel! Ha! (I am NOT, for the record.)
And to think it all stemmed from your original response to my TR sequin top post - is that your closet?? And I was nonchalantly like - oh, let me AW myself! Little did I know... :-|
I am making a couple changes in my home office, which also houses my closet (DH uses the smaller one in our bedroom, I need the big one of course!) so when I finish those I will share mine. I love seeing people's closets, and all the different ways they organize. I really want to copy your photos of shoes on the shoe boxes.
I share a mid-size walk-in w/ the hubby....one that I used to fill all by myself It's painful. I'd give a lot to have the space to have a whole room, or even a whole med-large closet by myself.
You all are really sweet, and I will keep saying thanks!
Mrsbpo - thanks for the link! I will check it out!
Mav - don't quote me on the non-breathing thing. I honestly can't remember my source, but I do remember reading it awhile ago regarding both shoe and purse storage and it always stuck. It kind of makes sense though if you think about it.
And yes - Fashion - you must share anything you do! That goes for all of you!
Run- I'm a 6! I seriously only know one other person who is a 6!!
Boston- yes, it totally is! I framed mine so no, I don't think it's weird. I love the phrase! I saved another and was thinking of framing it as a gift or just bringing it to work for my desk! Do it!
I will squeeze my feet into those suckers!!! I am a 37 in Loubs and Jimmy Choo
Also, you handled yourself so well in that MM thread. I would've gone OFF!
Oh you'll totally do a closet make over eventually--what's the fun of a closet room if you don't reorganize it;)
I think lighting would be a tough piece--there is basically no lighting in any bedrooms in my house. It would be awesome if you could remodel the bathroom to include a vanity and 3 way mirror, but it might be a little crazy to eliminate the shower in case you ever want to sell the house.
Carylee, I really admire how you've handled the MM thread. Seriously, you fucking rock. It could be that I have extra feelers right now, but that post pissed me the fuck wayyyyy off.
Seriously I can't agree more. Cary you are awesome and have much more restraint that I do. I was getting so heated just reading that thread!
