Even when you were a summer and in your stub year? I put down like 10 allowances on my W4s those years and still got big refunds because the payroll system was taxing my paychecks as if I was working for the whole year.

I'm estimating that we'll probably get a refund. DH's income varies from one year to the next so it's hard to accurately figure out what we should withhold.

We should get a refund. One year I did my math wrong and thought I owed $8,000. I was pretty panicky until I realized I am horrible at math. Otherwise we have always gotten something back.

I was working 1-3 part time jobs most of the year so I should get a refund. I didn't make much at all last year At least things are looking up this year! I'm actually full time, yay!

My initial calculations for 2012 taxes as if they were similar to last year is a $285 refund. I'm very happy with that, it's about as close to 0 as I've ever gotten!
But, we had some extra, new, income on the side that means we will ultimately owe a few thousand. But we expected that part and I'm still really happy about being close to 0 anyway.
