I don't get it. I think the only reason to eat a sandwich (of all things) is so you're not dirtying a dish. WhyTF do we need to dirty a dish so you can carry bread from one room to another room.. and then pick it up? Why?! *flings herself to the ground*

I always use a napkin or paper towel, just to sorta catch the crumbs. I generally use paper plates for meals though, because I hate doing dishes. We do not have a dishwasher

We could live together. Because while I do use a small plate, (sometimes I make kinda messy sandwiches!) I ADORE washing dishes. I do it when I'm angry, and it makes me zen.
I'll normally grab a paper plate or a napkin. He uses a large plate. He'll even pick up a hamburger and fries and put them both on a plate when he brings home fast food. That annoys me.

Okay, I do this, too, but it's because I like to drench my fries in ketchup and sometimes dip my burger in the ketchup pool, too. I have found the wrapping for the burger is too thin and the ketchup bleeds through a little onto the surface below, but having a plate helps prevent that. But if I get some big special burger that comes in a carton instead of paper wrapping, then I won't need a plate and just use the carton for my pool of ketchup.
I do, my H usually does not. Though he also will use the top of the pizza box as a plate, instead of a plate or napkin, if he is having a slice of pizza. He doesn't want to dirty a dish unnecessarily.
