Yeah same here. I'll hack it, but DD is no lightweight!
Same here!
Alternate idea: there are some indoor play spaces in the city that usually have an open play time that non-members can go in and enjoy.
What do you ladies think? Do you go to any? I have some links, have been trying to find places to take Mel anyway.
I'd be fine with something like that, whatever is good for everyone else. Are people just out on the MONH? Because they do allow strollers, I know that. Which would be easier for those of us that are making the trek into the city.

I'm all for the MONH. We can take over a less visited exhibition maybe? Park all the kiddos in front of a stuffed bird and say its just part of the exhibition? I just wonder if there are places for the babies to roam free a little.

I know they have a "discovery room" - I wonder if they would let us use it if it wasn't in use

Right, I agree with the roaming free. Where are some of the play spaces? Are they in the city?
I'm so tempted to offer my apartment bc we have a pretty big living room, but I think DH would ^o) if I invited over people I mostly haven't actually met. Sigh. Next time, though, once I've actually met you guys!

I was going to offer to host at my (small) apartment before the museum idea came up. I've met most of you so I didn't think it was that crazy
I think there's also one at the JCC in manhattan (there's an elevator in the subway nearby, which is why I suggest it). For some reason the page won't open on my iPad though.
The second and third one sound great! The second one seems like it will be the easiest to get into, seeing that apparently the third gets filled up quickly.

Yeah same. I don't know how everyone is with dogs though and my kitchen is (still) an ongoing project.
Oh and my building is on 70th, so right next to the express stop on the red line and the station has an elevator.
I think we could to the MONH though. There are areas that are always empty like the south and central americas wing that we could plop the babies down in.
My building has a play room. I haven't been much, but I've only seen 4 other kids in there at a time.
I was just about to say - my building is putting in a playroom, so as soon as that happens, we could do it there. But for now, I agree. I think the Natural History museum might be best bc there's always empty areas
OK cool we're getting somewhere! MC wants to come but was hoping for a few weeks notice so she can request off from work. Will either the 8th or 15th be enough notice for you @therealmc? And is noon still good for everyone?
