I just heard back from a recruiter that they will be scheduling an interview for me next week. It's in extreme western Kansas 3hr to the closest Target or Starbucks
I ordered 3 new pairs of shoes last night. Amazon had some awesome prices, and a 20% off code for signing up for shoe emails. Total retail for all 3 would be $558. I got them for $200.19.
I am in love with Amazon. My year old kindle hasn't been holding a charge and you have to rig the charger in with a pen or somthing to get it to stay. I am out of warranty by they are sending me a new one for free. I was expecting to have to pay for a repair.

I think I'm going to have to pay at WWers this week, the first time since May. I am up five pounds and that's even with half marathon training. I hate that workouts don't make me lose weight.
I can't get through this week fast enough. I feel like so many things I've been looking forward to are coming up starting on Saturday - Book of Mormon this weekend, visiting friends from our old city, shopping, then Monday is my 12 week ultrasound. Next week is all on-campus recruiting, which is one of the few things about my job I actually enjoy, plus I get to be out of the office for three full days!
I can't get the iPad version to work at all operagirl. Works fine on my iPhone but gives me a weird error message on the iPad. So I am so confused on why it's doing that all of sudden. I even posted on the Help Board.

DH is out of town all week. I've totally squandered this alone girly time by basically following the same routine as if he were here. I've got 3 more nights to make it up....

I hate those little "make sure you're not a robot" things when you log into things (or forget your password). Sometimes you can't read them, because the letters are all kinds of crazy and you have to hit the refresh button and you still get one.
I just used one, and it was a blurry picture of a house number that you could barely make out. As an aside are there not enough random word generators that you have to use house pictures.

I have found that viewing the board through Safari on my iPad is better than using the app anyway. You can see polls, images, likes, etc. I've given up on the iPad app.

Yup, me too. And operagirl, the picture issue isbecause GBCN as a wholehas exceeded our limit for pictures hosted here. You can add pics that are hosted elsewhere, like photobucket.
I'm watching a little girl chase DS1 around the playground, wondering if I should intercede. She wants to play but he keeps trying to get away from her. I feel like telling him that someday he'll want girls to pay attention to him, lol.
Until a moment ago I thought the number of "likes" below a poster's post count was the number of posts they have liked. I now know it means how many likes that poster's posts have RECEIVED.
But, I want to serve mashed potatos to dinner guests on Sat.
That means I have to go back to the base with the decent PX for groceries later today, instead of to a different base where the grocery selection is better.
I also have to pick an appropriate gift for taking to DH's work's social function tomorrow. His boss's boss is hosting it at his home, and the local custom basically requires us to bring an expensive food gift the first time we visit someone's home. Decorative fruit or meat (or spam?!), apparently, is the norm... I honestly have no idea how much we should spend, but at least there is a shop near us that sells the gift-packaged appropriate items...
