I went to a networking event last night. I was talking to this guy who is from Philly, and about 3 minutes into our conversation we start talking about the Eagles, and about 2 minutes after that he told me about this game that he went to, he met a girl from LA there, they had sex, 4 weeks later she called and told him she was pregnant, and now they're married.
I thought that was very... forward for a stranger at a networking event.
I am having a bad day. At 8 am, I was eating breakfast in my PJs when my phone buzzed to remind me about a meeting at 8:15. I live 40 minutes from campus.
Then I bit the dust, hard, at lunch. There always seems to be food spilled on the floor, probably because the cafeteria quit using trays, so people have to balance carrying multiple plates and/or drinks back to their tables. I slipped on something and landed hard on my knee. I also spilled coffee all over the floor, luckily not all over myself! I am thankful that I am wearing pants today! My knee is killing me.
I find it interesting (annoying?) that people think MMers are mind readers. How could we possibly give feedback on anything with no details? If you want us to spend time helping you, spend a few minutes and give us the scoop so we can make a properly informed suggestion.
I just realized I sat through my entire 8:30 meeting with a giant streak of snot down my dress. I sneezed as she was on her way in but I thought it was all air. Guess not.
H is on a kick of making dinner every Saturday night to learn to be a better cook and he wants suggestions of what to make this weekend. Any ideas, MM? He is pretty basic in his cooking skills but wants to learn a few good standby meals.
Chili or some type of stew might be good. It's pretty difficult to mess those up.

I love this story, particularly because of the Philly connection. Please tell me he called the team the "iggles."

No Philly accent! I was really disappointed. I love Philly accents.

I think I would've just zoned out after he said he was an Eagles fan
When MH and I were first looking at houses, we went to see a short sale in Central Jersey. We got out of the car and the house had a big Eagles vanity mailbox, and MH said, "Well, so much for that."
2 hours after I got a big fat negative, my nephew was born. He is so cute though! I adore him already and am glad to have a baby around to spoil.
I listenend to my coworker rant for two hours about tax brackets. Half of what he was ranting about isn't even true. Sad considering we work in finance and he should understand this stuff.
I had one of the most interrupted nights of sleep I've had in ages last night. And, DH has the day off, and is still in bed sleeping. (it's 10:30 here)
Between texts from DH, a random wrong number at 12:30, DH getting home at 1, eating something noisily in the kitchen before coming in to bed, and then his alarm going off at both 4:30 and 5 (in the other room, so it woke me up, but not him), and then, finally, my alarm at 6.
Blargh. (and yes, I do realize that anyone who has ever cared for an infant is probably laughing right now)
