It's not the content of the thread that is the issue... it's the principle that she was entrusted by a group of people and she's clearly abusing that "power" (if you call it that).
Regardless of whether or not you think it was a big deal... I think we all can agree that there was no legitimate reason to delete that thread. If this was the first time... okay, maybe she doesn't quite get her role as mod. But given the history... this appears to be a recurring issue for flex.
Dude. Speckledfrog, SMACE is not the only one who's kind of pissed about this. I don't think you're such a good mod if you're okay with deleting posts that are simply annoying, either.

I'm not okay with it. I wouldn't have deleted. I don't think side eyeing it and asking her to step down is out of the question, but I think SMACE is acting like this is a 10 on the worst -o-meter when it's not.

1. Deleted someone's comment calling anther weird. Weird. That's it. No reason, just decided to delete it. 2. People called her on it. She got weirdly defensive and GBCNedGBCN. Came back and was like "sorry I overreacted." People were like ...ok and voted her back to mod along with c-joy and the frog chick. 3. Today flexie quoted someone when they specifically asked not to be quoted. 4. Deletes stupid, but popular post for no reason other than "it annoys her."
So none of this matters in the slightest unless you are the Mod of a dumb internet board. In that case we are going to think you suck ass!

I feel like if you're not pissed about random, nonsensical deletions then there is something wrong with YOU.
Or, I'm just not taking it that seriously today.
Jeeeezus.
Not specifically you, you in the global sense. Lol. But, yeah, is it not concerning that a thread deemed annoying by a mod and a few others was deleted? Just because of that?

Ellie mentioned that a thread could be deleted if the OP requested it, but I thought that was generally frowned upon by ML since it's a cheater's way of getting out of a flaming. WDYT?

I think that, on a personal level over the past few years, flexie has been a pretty decent chick to me, so I don't view her in that light. That might be why I am not seeing this as a big deal. I'm going to sneak out to lunch. Not Panera!
I think we can all agree that there didn't seem to be a valid reason for the stupid birthday twin thread to be deleted.
Let's give flex an opportunity to explain herself and/or apologize for that deletion.
And, if you are not satisfied with her defense, you can then entertain the possibility of impeachment if there are enough people who feel strongly enough to go that route.
This has nothing to do with whether or not people like flexie, Scotty. It has to do with her not doing the job she was voted in to do... repeatedly. You can like flexie and still think she's a shittastic mod.

This was something that was debated in that big long 'rules' thread we had when we were getting started and the majority wanted the ability to delete at the op's request. It's no different than it was on tn, only here a mod has to delete for you whereas there you could DD a thread yourself.

Yeah, I'm just not as upset as you are. Over a f*cking message board, okay? Thank you for talking down to me though.

i hope you're going somewhere local, scotty. otherwise, ugh!

I wasn't trying to talk you down. Nothing in my post was said with an attitude. I simply was pointing out that feelings about flexie as a person and feelings about flexie's ability as a mod are opposing.
I saw a chill pill a little further up this thread.

LOL, the best thing happened. I had a chilled Jimmy John's unwich, sometimes I grab two to have one the next day. It's brilliance at work.
