I have a room in my home that's been largely untouched since we moved in three years ago. I want to paint it before hanging any sort of art or curtains. It's kind of a den, or sorts, but on our second floor. Our master bedroom, guest room and DH's office are off of this room. Right now, we have a bookshelf, TV and futon in there, but not much else.
It has one small window that lets in a good amount of light. However, my concern is that a blue color will make the room look cold.
Right now, it's painted Behr Raffia cream, the same color is carried through the room that's in the stairwell leading up to it. But there is a threshold where a change in paint color wouldn't be too jarring. Do you have any ideas for a warm blue that would complement this color?
There are some warm blues in the Candace Olson collection of Benjamin Moore. They have a lot of gray in them. I painted our master a color called Nimbus. There is also one called Storm that is pretty.
I sampled so many beautiful blues from BM. I know that SW has some nice ones too. Restoration Hardware has some nice saturated colors too.

We have BM Moonshine in one of our bedrooms. It looks gray on the chip, but definitely has a blue undertone, especially with our lighting. I also have Behr's Lost Atlantis in my mudroom, which is a rich saturated blue. Our adjoining laundry room is an ivory color, similar to your Raffia Cream, and our adjoining kitchen is Glidden's Scroll Beige, which is a greige, but both look so nice against the LA.
Both of those are the first chip on the card...they both have strong green in the pictures I posted, but on the chip, Tranquil Aqua looks more blue, so it probably depends on the kind of light you get. Breezy is stronger on gray undertones on the chip.

I wanted something similar and asked myself the same question, does warm blue exist. I went to the paint store and just grabbed a bunch of blues that appealed to me. There were probably more than 12 I taped to the wall and slowly removed them as I decided they were just not right. I think we have decided on SW's Slate Tile which is a darker/saturated shade but we should have enough natural light to keep the space from being cave-like in the daytime and half of our space is terrible wood paneling now anyway. So not really bright.
Our kitchen is similar to SW Breezy - BM Colorado Gray (it looks like a blue gray). Somehow it seems warm, in part b/c it looks good w/our BM White Dove cabinets.
