doglove - have you talked to your dog about maybe Mirena? It has estrogen (but not progesterone, I think?) But lower amounts of normal BCP. BUT there would be no withdrawals or scurrying to find your pill last minute. I don't know if it would work with PCOS/etc.-but it may be worth looking into!
I have jojo - we have talked about it as a next step if the BCPs didn't work. I know the risk is small, but I am nervous to get it because of the risk. I'm not sure it makes sense if me and Mr. DL want to try to have a baby on the early side of the timeline in the next 3-5 years.
I am also a little nervous because I have read that some people who suffer hormonal headaches have gotten them bad on Mirena. I don't want to get that inserted and suffer too without a removal date? Am I just being a worry wort??
I don't know anything about hormonal headaches and as of now I don't want any kids, so, I am no help here. My only worry was it failing and getting oops pregnant. I like not having to worry about a pill and not having a period. I am no help here, sorry.
doglove, my friend got Mirena and didn't like it and had it removed in under 2 weeks.
That's good to know doriswe, thanks. A lot of what I read said they don't like to remove them at least for a year, so at least that may be an option for me. My doc basically said that my only options are the pill consecutively (didn't work), IUD, those things they put under the skin in your arm and the depo shot, none of which I'm particularly interested in.
If these pills don't pan out, it may be back to wrapping and bagging it up.

I think we want kids, but it's not a definite so putting an IUD in wouldn't be the end of the world.

She had an abnormal amount of cramping and her boyfriend actually cut his penis on the strings. She was all "eff this" and had it taken out.
I have limited options in bc as well and am crossing my fingers Paraguard works well because I don't really care for the other choices!

Let me know what you think of that once you get used to it!
