I've run the same race here in Houston for three out of the four years. This was also the very first race I'd ever trained for with a specific finish time in mind (that was last year, this year it was just a part of my current half marathon training plan.)
Perhaps more importantly, this marks the first time in my entire life I've ever run consistently for a year. Before last year, I'd always been one of those train for a race, stop running, six months later, find another race, train for it, then stop kind of people.
But right before I got pregnant with Eliza, something just clicked and I knew things had to change. And I'm so proud to say that they have, and they've stayed changed for over a year now.
I'll stop jabbering now though and let the pictures do the talking:
That is so awesome!! How great to have your photos and times to track your progress. I know what you mean about starting and stopping training, I'm glad to hear that it stuck.

thanks all
I just have to say what a huge encouragement this board has been to me over the past year. y'all have kept me going on days when I just didn't want to do it anymore, so a thank you back to all of you.
