Oh dear. I didn't want to carry the bottle because last year in clinicals, one of the girls in my class blabbed about another girl in the class having xanax in her bag. I didn't want the same to happen to me :\
I keep Ativan in my purse in case I need it for something (usually driving or flying, but occasionally I need it for something else) and I never ever tell people it's on me. I keep it in an inside pocket of my purse that is zipped.
I know Ativan is different from Xanax, but it makes me sleepy. I took it yesterday to deal with a car ride and it made me fall asleep. I basically/accidentally knocked myself out a couple weeks ago when I doubled up for a plane ride. I haven't taken it in awhile though, so I think it hit me harder. When I was taking it almost every day, it didn't affect me nearly as much.
I should add that I wasn't in like respiratory distress or anything. I was just super tired already and the ativan pretty much did me in so I slept the whole plane ride.
I haven't taken mine during a panic attack yet as I haven't had any since I got my Rx last month. I did take it on the weekend per the doctor's orders just to see how I reacted. I felt fine after taking it but obviously was at baseline when I took it, so who knows when I'm actually mid-panic attack.
Okay, so I didn't conk out. I think I'd be good to take it during tests and then to drive home afterward. After the two hour mark I felt fine again. Thank you for all the input, I really appreciate it.
