Last night during Etta's horrible night, hubby asserted that *most* almost one year olds sleep all night. I said, HA. Almost no one I know with a baby this age sleeps all night! So, this is not a judgment or bragging or anything kind of post. Help me show him that Etta is not abnormal. Just: does your baby sleep all night, which for the purposes of this post will be defined as an 8 hour stretch of sleep or longer.
Choices are: All of the time Most of the time Some of the time Rarely Never
Twin moms can vote twice because I'm cool like that.
ETA: go with what your "norm" is, not cases of teething or sickness. And we won't count just baby waking, but actually requiring intervention from parents to go back to sleep as not STTN.

I voted some of the time. STTN started last night though, so we shall see. Are you talking fully waking and needing to be soothed? Because J will wake and settle himself, but I don't consider that sleeping all night.

Let's define "up" as requiring parental intervention.

I'm on the app so no clicking but I'm torn between all of the time and most of the time. She reliably STTN but on occasion will be sick, teething etc and on those nights she usually wakes once. We did have an awful night recently where she woke every hour for snot sucking. But usually, 95%+ of the time, she's good until at least 5 am once she goes down at 630-7.

I'd say you're "all of the time." Because the other stuff is anomalies.
I put her down at 8:30pm. She is currently on boob (10:30pm). She will require another boobing between 12-1am. Then she will wake between 6-7am for another boobing.

But since you said "our norm" I'll say never. We just "sleep trained" which means now she's up at 12 and 4 (typically) much better than 10, 12, 2, 4, 6....
I can't click because I'm mobile. I'm going to say rarely. It's a fluke when she does. Generally she'll wake between midnight and two, then comes into bed with me and we flip sides about every hour, hour and a half until 7:30ish.

I'm with monkeybabe. I voted never, because if we get a two hour stretch, I feel blessed.
Also, both of my sister's boys never STTN by 12 months. Her 17 month old still doesn't, and her oldest (now 3.5) didn't until age 2, despite her best efforts.

I always wonder how "real life" compares to here. Some things here seem far more advanced than real life (eating, skills, etc.) but yet this seems like the opposite.
I'm on the app so I can't click, but she sttn for the last glorious week and I thought this was it. Then she was up last night and she didn't want to go back to sleep. She was up once per night for probably the last 6 months or so.
Alexis slept through the night from 6 weeks to 7 months. Since then she gets up any where from 2-4 times a night. I don't know what the heck happened...
I said most of the time because she is usually pretty reliable. Maybe once or twice a month we get a night where she wakes up for some reason around 2am and requires me to rock her or whatever to get back to sleep.
Yeah, about 98% of the time. There have been two times since we sleep trained that we've had to get up with him, but we're lucky. I wouldn't say that "most" babies around this age I know IRL sleep through the night.
Oh fuck no. My kids don't fucking sleep. DD eats 2-3 times a night. DS didn't STTN until he was switched to a twin bed at 23 months.
And my kids go to bed at fucking 10, last night pushed 11, she just wouldn't go to sleep. They are awake at 7. She was up at 2 and 6 to eat. It also takes a half hour after she's done eating to get her to sleep.
