This is how my H does laundry too, although with him there would be one load still in the washer and another in the dryer, both sitting there for a day or two. And he'd be proud of himself!
my husband always just throws everything together and washes it on cold because he thinks that will keep colors from running totally. then he throws everything into the dryer on high.
one time, i lost it on him when he shrunk my lululemon yoga pants and was ranting "do you think i'm a WIZARD!?!?!?? i'm not a WIZARD, i just READ THE LABELS! it's not that hard. YOU BAKE, the label is like a RECIPE. i don't just use ESP to figure out if something needs to line dry."
that's our catchphrase now for whenever someone messes up chores around the house. "do you think i'm a WIZARD?!?!?"

I may have to keep the wizard reference on file for use in my household. LMAO.

This is why H is only allowed to wash his own clothes or bedding. Typically I do all the washing. I cant stand wrinkles, when items shrink or when things do not get clean.
That is why my husband doesn't touch my laundry. Okay, a few shrunken sweaters may have something to do with it too :-)
Same here. My husband is only allowed to wash his clothes because he dries everything on the highest possible setting for the longest amount of time. If he wants to ruin his crap, that's fine. Mine is off-limits.

I am your H. With the exception of one or two shirts and one or two pairs of pants, I wash on cold and dry on high.

H never folds his laundry. He has approximately 5 laundry baskets in various states of fullness sitting beside his bed. I drag out the folding process, but usually have done within a day or two.
Cville's story reminded me of this little gem. So, he does his laundry, cleans out the lint trap, and sits it in top of the dryer. Why can he not walk 10 more steps to the damn garbage can? One day I was supremely annoyed by the pile o lint on the dryer, and I asked him, "do you think the lint fairy comes and throws away your lint?"
Yeah, it's not a help if you don't fold them and put them away. Throwing clothes into the washer is not the hard part, dude.
We also have the same passive-agressive war going on as Lucy. My husband does not feel any responsibility to the kids clothes. And we both hate fitted sheets.

HA! My h's latest thing is starting some chore and then saying, "I can take care of the rest of that later." I am trying to quickly break him of this, because we all know this is man-code for, "I want credit for doing this, but Chickadee will finish this later because it will drive her crazy otherwise."
Baby-steps, though, right? At least he's seeing and acknowledging that there is a chore to do. Right? Sigh.
Oh, and forget laundry, because apparently, I AM A WIZARD. Lol. Love this.
For the same reason my H says "I'll do the dishes!" which apparently means only the dishes that are actually inside the sink. Not the ones 2" away on the side board, or the dinner dishes still on the table.
i wash and dry and he folds and puts away....not because he's awesome but because he says i do it wrong. lol. whatever blows your skirt up, dude.
If Pastor Frkls ever pisses you off please send him my way. I won't keep him for forever just like 2 weeks to get the laundry situation sorted out in my house.
I don't mind sorting, washing, and drying. Folding and putting away is like special torture. I always joke that if I win the lottery the first thing I will do is hire someone to do my laundry full time.

My husband is never allowed to do the laundry. I realy think he purposely does a shitty job so I do it. Actually I do not mind doing laundry, so I do it all. I hate dusting and sweeping so he does it all. Win/Win

OMG yes. My H wants credit for always offering to do my laundry. But I always say NO because then my laundry will be mixed in with his, in one of the 7 baskets full of clean clothes he has. I can't stand it.
I do most of our laundry. For no other reason then it doesn't bother me. If DH does laundry he does a good job, other then he won't fold it. He will put it away if it has been folded though.
I don't have many clothes that can't go in the dryer.
We also wash all clothes in cold water, I do sort out the whites/colors though. We wash in cold water as it doesn't cost as much.
