Does the pet sitter work for a larger company? Or just an individual who offers pet sitting services? I'd tend to tip more if they work for a larger company since not all of the $600 is going to them. I wouldn't tip the normal 20% though. I'd probably due $50 if the sitter works for a bigger company. $30 if they have their own company. Or maybe even $40/$20.

We don't tip our baby sitters either. We just round up when paying them. I think $50 tip if she owns her own dog sitting service is VERY generous. We tip our dog sitter because she is a contract employee with a franchise.

Rounding up is a great thing to do!!!!
I used to nanny for this one family and they were totally penny pinchers and it drove me nuts. They were well off, obviously, so an extra $2 wasn't going to kill them. Say for example, I was getting paid $11/hr and I worked 12.5 hours that week. That comes to $137.50......the mom would literally give me that amount. Most normal people would just round to $140. Anyway, point is, nannies/petsitters/etc really appreciate it when you round up.
I feel like I sound ungrateful, but that really used to irk me. Lol.

Depending on what they take care of for you I think between 10-15 dollars a day is a nice tip. The girl we have used for the past 2 years lets our dogs out in our backyard, feeds them, fresh water and takes our mail in. She is wonderful.
