We are trying to redecorate out bedroom. It's really tough because we have this hideous deep green carpet to work around. It's not in the budget to remove it yet and I feel like it really limits the colors I can use in the room. We painted the walls a marigold color thinking we could do the room in jewel tones but I kind of have everything I find for comoforters and duvets. SO I have a few questions. Would you repaint the walls? Maybe something more neutral? Would you keep the walls and if so, what would you do for a duvet? Does anyone have white bed linens? Are they easy to keep clean? Cookies for anyone who can find a fairly inexpensive duvet or comforter set.

We had white linens until about a year ago and I liked them. They were pretty easy to keep clean and it was very easy to change throw pillows and things with the white.
I would probably repaint. Marigold walls with green carpet would really bug me. Our current bedroom is just a beige, but I love any grey or any muted blue or green. With your carpets I'd probably just do a grey or a grey/beige mix.
West Elm has some white sets. Check the Company Store too. I haven't looked there in awhile, but they usually have white.
I would prob repaint the room gray. I had white sheets but they just got too dirty too fast. I do have a white comforter and either just leave that on the bed or change it up with duvet covers. You could just get a white duvet cover too. If you repainted, you could do a duvet cover with a mostly white background and then have colors like purple or yellow in the duvet cover too.
If you keep the walls, a white duvet cover would prob be the best option.

Thanks guys! Yeah I think painting is going to happen. LOVE the greiges. We have a fabric headboard and it is more or less beige. I thought about an area rug but I think that it would be so expensive to cover a large room that I might as well save up to re-do the carpet. It makes me crazy because EVERY other room was redone before we moved in but they felt that the master carpet was in good enought condition to leave.
