How do you store your flour/sugar/baking goods?
Canister sets seem like a good idea, but they are never big enough, and I don't want them on my counter. I usually have several different types of flour and the bags are just making a mess.

plastic storage containers - they are rubbermaid & sold in a 3 pack @ walmart. The small one holds brown sugar, the medium one holds 5lbs of white sugar and the large one holds 5lbs of flour.
In a canister in the pantry. We have a fairly large pantry, so I have a whole shelf dedicated to flours, sugars, chips, and other miscellaneous baking items.
I bought these on clearance at Dollar General for $1. I have a whole cabinet of them that I use for pasta, flours, grains, beans, etc. These are discontinued at my store, but they still had some other glass storage jars with a similar wide mouth. I haven't got around to making labels yet, unfortunately.
I keep all flours (plain, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, millet and rice flour) in the freezer. It keeps bugs away and solves my storage problem at the same time. I do not have a dedicated pantry and my kitchen shelves are already overflowing with teas, spices, boxed pasta, etc.
Another vote for the OXO pop containers (I have ones designated for flour, white sugar, brown sugar, coffee, and rice). I keep them stored in my pantry cupboards, not on the counters.

Thanks! I've been looking at the OXO pop containers and they seem super expensive so I was nervous to get them. I have a baking cabinet where everything is kept, but the flour bags just spill and are messy and the sugar is kept in ziplocks, its a mess! I think I will go for the OXO ones!

I store mine in gallon sized ziplock baggies in a drawer. I use to have canisters on the counter, but our kitchen is really small. Then, I had them stored in a high cupboard, but again, they took up too much room.

We use two large plastic storage bins. I buy 25 lbs. of AP and 20 lbs. of WW flour at a time, so we need something big enough to empty each of those into.

i have the same set up. the sugars stack together nicely next to the flour. works great!
I use a large tupperware container and I keep it in a cupboard. I hate having stuff on my counters so I try to keep as little as possbiel on them.
I store flour, sugar, brown sugar in Tupperware containers, not because of bugs but for the flour & sugar I just hate the bags they come in, too easy to knock over & spill. Brown sugar I seal in Tupperware to keep soft.
Am I the only one who stores it in the bag it comes in? I guess we're fortunate we don't have much in the way of bugs or mold.
I stored it in the bags for years. One day I opened my pantry to find that grain bugs were in nearly every bag in the cabinet. Never again, it was so gross. Apparently all it takes is one infested bag.
