1. Where are you on your TTC journey? cycle 4 CD17
2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? My thyroid levels are perfect and we can start ttc again! yipee! my fertile window will be next weekend I think. My dr was kind of concerned about my longer cycles (~40 days). She said that I may not be ovulating but that I will still have AF due to my lining getting too thick. She does not like temping at all due to all the factors in getting accurate results. Her plan is for us to just try EOD (easier said than done imo). If we aren't pg by 6 months, she mentioned running tests and trying clomid. I'm glad she's so proactive. 6 months from now would be about a year from when we really wanted to start ttc. I hope it happens before that time.
3. What are your plans for Easter weekend? Do you get Friday off of work? I get Friday off of work, which is funny because no one in my company celebrates Easter. We just plan to veg and relax at home.

Temping is by no means perfect or the end all be all but I think it works great and confirms Oing and my LP length.
1. Cycle 3, CD26. I'm not sure if I O'ed, but possibly on CD18/19. I had all the signs except for + okp. Blah.
2. Without fail, every week one of my students will ask me when I'm having a baby and how they want to babysit for us. Lol. I keep telling them, "Maybe in 30 years".
3. I am on my spring break now, YAY! But we have no plans for Easter. MIL/BIL are in Florida and we were just at my parents' over the weekend for a wedding shower and they live 4 hours away. So I guess we will just do nothing
This happens to me every cycle...I gear up and then don't O for another week. Just give it a couple days you may O late this cycle. Did you get a temp shift?

1. cycle 4, CD 24, 10 DPO
2. Honestly, I'm going to be very surprised if I'm not KU. At 7-8 DPO I had a lot of cramping and I've never had this at that time in my cycle (no spotting though). I had some nausea, fatigue, back pain, and headaches too. DH is sick, so I suppose I could have been fighting something. I've never had a cycle longer than 26 days, so I'm really eager to test!
3. Feds are working Friday. For Easter, we're going to the in laws' for brunch after DH and I go to Baptist church. SIL is due Monday, so I'm wondering if she'll be in labor. Easter was the biggest holiday in our family growing up - big gatherings, softball games at the high school field, egg hunts, etc. I hope to rekindle that tradition in the near future!
@missy1, I am amazed that your doctor doesn't like temping. Is this common? So when exactly should you start doing it EOD did she say? Or is it for the entire cycle?
I know! She is kind of a "free spirit" though and I am an engineer so I NEED to look at the data. Her reasoning is that temping doesn't tell you when O is until it is over so the best bet is to try EOD the entire cycle (especially since I am not very regular). Also there are so many factors that can influence temping..your sleep, thermometer, etc. She thinks it is stressful too (which we all know it is!).

I don't temp. That's why I have no idea what's going on with my body! I'm a little bit hesitant about starting because of my sleep patterns, but I might have to start if it doesn't work this cycle. Should I start today or wait until CD1?Â
I may try and temp to see what's going on but if you already Oed won't tell you much but if you didn't you should still see a temp shift.

1. Cycle 5, 9 dpo. 2. I had a little light brown spotting when I wiped I'm really hoping its not my period. I don't know when I am supposed to be getting it since my cycles ave been irregular. 3.we are having my family come to our house!

1. Cycle 6 CD 8 (and still on my period!!ugh!) 2. See above! I was a day late last cycle which got me all excited, but the AF came. Which was sad, but I am very happy that my LP was 11 days instead of 10 or less as it has been! 3. We are hosting a bunch of friends for Easter. We always do it up big since my husband is Italian. It's almost bigger than Christmas with the required food!

I'm totally sratching my head over this one too! Why wouldn't you want to confirm that you are Oing especially since your cycles are wonky? I get that it is not a good way to predict when you are going to O but I always get a huge sense of relief when I do! We just do EOD from cd11 or so until I see a sustained temp shift. Hasn't worked so far but it makes me feel that at least we are timing it right!
If you want to start temping start on CD1. Starting in the middle of a cycle will only lead to confusion and frustration.
I'm so soory Nama! I was going bonkers last weeks when I was 1.5 days late! I can't even imagine what you are going through!! I'm sending head pats your way...

Simpsongal--when are you going to test? You sound so confident!!! FX
I made a separate post for my state of the ute, but summary: Cycle 4/5, 14 dpo, negative test this morning I have had what could be symptoms of pregnancy, but could also be period symptoms--although I will say, I never get pre-period symptoms, it just starts and then that night/second day I have cramps for one day and then no extra symptoms from the actual bleeding. I have had cramps for a couple of days, but no blood and reoccurring nausea. My breasts are sensitive, but not intensely so. I have been bloated for about a week. I am starting to think I just gained a lot of weight quickly! I am working from home Friday. We don't typically celebrate Easter.

Could it be implantation bleeding???
I am hoping so. I don't want to get my hopes up though. FX for you!!

1. Cycle 11, 5DPO
2. Just swimming swimming swimming....
3. I have off Friday . We're going to my sisters Sunday. I wanted to have dinner here, but I live toooo far away (sarcasm).
@missy1 - I would just start temping. If you are ovulating, temping will confirm it. If you want a heads up so that you don't have to have sex EOD for the entire cycle, try using OPK's. For me personally, it would be more stressful to try to have sex EOD and not know whether I was ovulating or not. As much as I dislike the process of temping, it is worth it to know what your cycle is doing. It would also be worth it to do if that meant I didn't have to take Clomid, which is a powerful drug with side effects and you have to be monitored while taking it and have a fair amount of testing done before taking it.
mekiakoo - you can start temping anytime to get into the habit. Whatever you feel comfortable with.
namasteak - from what I understand, a HPT is pretty much as sensitive as a blood test. Maybe you ovulated later than you think?
1. Cycle 3 CD 37 I think 1 or 2 DPO. 2. Longest. Cycle. Everrrrrrrr. (Not really just feels like it) 3. I'm working Saturday and Sunday. I do have Friday off but only because that is how the schedule worked out.
@missy1, I would temp anyway. If it is more stressful to you to NOT temp, then the benefit of not temping is a wash. That's my thought and justification to my sister who asked me why I did all this stuff. I also need data.
mekiakoo, same above. You seem stressed about not temping also. It's not difficult to get in the habit and it can work with wonky sleep (as I well know). I've seen a temp shift with every ovulatory cycle I've had, with shift work and waking every 3-4 hours.
thoseareradishes - I have been temping for a few months now. I am also using opks this cycle but they haven't really worked for me in the past because I wasn't ovulating that cycle. I'm going to try taking them to work and testing in the afternoon starting next week. confession-I am also drinking the pom juice, which is soooo $$$ and I plan to try the pineapple core thing after that one fly by bfp poster mentioned it..lol.
2. I Od a few days before I normally do. Or at least when ff thinks I may have Od. So we may have gotten 1 try in there. o well. FX anyways.
3. I don't work Friday and I'm sure DH has it off as well. We have brunch plans on Saturday with some friends I haven't seen in 2+ years. Then dinner Saturday night with ILS and dinner Sunday night with my family.

Cool, I hope you get a positive soon!
Supposedly you can blend up the pineapple core into a smoothie. Makes it more palatable
namasteak- a FR detects a postiive at 25 mIU of hcg. hcg greater than 5 mIU from a blood test is a positive. A positive usually happens 8-10 days after implantation and the hcg doubles every 1-2 days. So I agree with pps that a blood test would not tell you anything a hpt would not at this point. If you are really 5-7 days late, then it would show up on a hpt. I really hope you have a bfp but a blood test when your period is 5-7 days late is a little extreme tbh.

You also think that I should wait 2 months of no AF before speaking with a doctor and that my CM is a yeast infection. So I think I'm going to ignore your constant negative comments for now. Its a little bit more expensive than a FREP and would make me feel less anxious so why wouldn't I do it?
WHAT? I didn't think you had a yeast infection. This is my exact post "fx! But the one time that I had very lotion-y CM, it turned out to be the start of a yeast infection. I hope that's not the case for you." I was just sharing MY experience in a FRIENDLY way. Other posters mentioned waiting 60 days too. How is posting that pps told me that I should wait 50-60 days with no period is negative? Just because I am not puppies and rainbows and telling you to call a dr. because your period is 5 days late doesn't mean that I am negative. I even wrote that I really hope you have a bfp but I was trying to say in a nice way that you need to chillax, okay. You are making yourself anxious and if it does turn out to be a BFN, it will only be more devastating. sheesh
1) Cycle 4, CD 7 2) I'm giving it all this cycle - temping, OPKs, EOD. If it doesn't work, I'm "just going to relax" for a while. Haha...we'll see how that goes, but I'm just not sure how much I want to work at this. 3) We are both working Friday. Sunday is Mass and Easter dinner with my late BFF's family.
ETA OT random: the city has a camera snaked down our sewer clean out and I have to use the bathroom. Awkward.
1. Cycle 4, CD 5. 2. Even though I'm counting this as my fourth cycle, the other three were barely even "trying" in terms of timing. This will be the first month we're getting serious about it because our move will be out of the way and we wanted to focus on that first. 3. We are moving!! (So I took off tomorrow, Friday and Monday, yay!) We're currently 50 minutes away from my work, my parents, my BFFs, and a bunch of other stuff, and now we'll be five to 10. I wanted to get a short commute in place and live nearer to my parents (who will be our daycare two days a week if we have kidss) before we had a baby. Now I hope we actually have one soon! We are also going to my parents' house for lunch on Easter.
