We used it for their bottles, meaning what's inside. But DUH a baby doesn't get the distinction. So now that we're off bottles I'll sign "milk" as I say it and hand their cups to them and they're like BITCH THIS ISN'T MILK and scowl. They will not sign milk to mean that. When they DO sign it and I hand them their cup they reluctantly take it.
And then a few nights ago Marc was taking longer to get ready at night so I just gave Gabe his night bottle but was trying to keep him alert until Marc was ready. I was asking him all these questions -- where's daddy, where's Marcus, look at that frog, etc. Gabe kept scowling and finally pulled his bottle out of his mouth and signed milk like LADY I AM EATING MY MILK HERE SHUT UP and then put the bottle back in.
Anyway, we're loving it and I think it's really helping
Today Emily is sporting the no-pants look complete with a brown and white stripped onesie. Going for the casual look, she's been working hard eating her toys today!
