Well, what stands out to me is the day that Chris died, and the days and weeks that followed. I was alone in the house in the early morning on that horrible horrible day, and I turned to ML for comfort even before I started calling my family with the horrible news.
That evening, Niceasstra had food delivered to my house. I had been gone all day, and when I finally got home that evening, the delivery guy was partked in my driveway. He'd been waiting for 30 minutes for me to arrive. When I walked into the front door, holding the lasagne, I called upstairs like I normally did when I knew Chris was home and said "Honey, someone delivered food for us!!" and then I burst into tears. Not just because Chris wasn't there, but because of Nicey's thoughtfulness.
Lucygoosey and a few others called me at home. Even though I was too overcome with emotion to pick up the phone to answer, I got the voice mail messages and it really meant a lot to me. I got scads and scads of flowers and cards in the days that followed: some of them from ML'ers who hadn't posted in a long time, but somehow, through the ML grapevine, they got my address. I have ALL of the cards that were sent, and I've read them at times when the grief was almost too much to bear. I also got scads of e-mails with kind words of sympathy and support. TDK sent me this amazing care package with sweet little notes that, to this day, makes me tear up with gratitude.
After Chris passed away, I've made trip to different cities to meet some of you. I feel that you are my friends, and I love you all--even if I haven't yet met you IRL.

Aww, KKD, I wish I didn't have to do it. Ltd spearheaded it all.
I was so touched that laptop whatever came to see dhs band. And I'll be touched when gozf comes next time, riiiight?
I got a call from -Moe- the day Lucy was born, and katieH (haven't seen her over here though) asked her cousin, my l&d nurse, to take extra-good care of me and posted when Lucy was born.
And LLL let me in on some cool info from her work.
And mrsjuleshs sent me info about her daughter's cheer videos so I could show Lucy.
I feel like I'm just going to repeat myself from yesterday's lovefest, but I love SO many of you. My heart is full of warmness thinking about what a great community of women this is.
