I think there definitely is one. Claire wore them until she was about 16 months, then it got too cool for them anyway, and definitely when she was closer to two I thought it would be weird for her to wear them. But damnit I love rompers.

Tamb, I lol'd at your 5. I'm not sure I ever made a cut off age, but I am a sucker for chunky legs sticking out of a romper, so as long as possible, lol.
Hmm I guess I'd agree with 2. L doesn't have a lot but I really like them as long as they have snaps in the crotch area. I hate when they don't, taking off a whole outfit isn't cool especially when out.
I agree with @lindy, but wouldn't want to deal with a one-piece once we start potty-training. So maybe...3?
I definitely avoided them completely for potty training. They are a PITA because she can't take them off herself, so I won't send her to school in them either.

All of this. I don't see D rocking rompers in summer of 2014.

I don't really think girls have that much of a cutoff. There are even adult stylish ones (not that I'd wear one), but you don't see (most?) grown men in rompers lol. Linus is 2 and I'd LOVE to put him in one, but it feels weird. Most of the boy ones I've seen look very t-shirty though so it just looks like a baby outfit. The girls' are so cute and are so stylish so can be worn longer IMO.
