Some pointless observations i feel compelled to make:
1. I've had two pressure cookers. I think it would be wicked hard to fit either into a book bag. I've never seen one that small. I imagined it would have had to be a duffel bag. My husband and I are both watching the video and saying "that bag looks a little heavy but not fat enough to have a pressure cooker in there!" And the guy with the straps on both shoulders? That should make the outline of the pot clearer.
2. Some of the guys they passed in the video looked more 'suspicious' than the suspects. Man, everyone had a book bag or duffle, didn't they?
3. I'm so confused now as to that's true and what was false reporting. But if it's true there were two unexploded bombs near the scene....doesn't that pretty much guarantee that there are more than these two guys involved? Like, at least two more, probably three? Because while I'll concede that it must be possible to fit a pressure cooker into a bookbag if the FBI says it is....I draw the line at two!

There were no unexploded bombs - that info turned out to be false.
I thought the backpacks looked awfully small to fit a pressure cooker inside too.
They seem so chill in the video-- I would think nothing of them if I saw them on the street.
I'm watching MSNBC and even though they're not saying it directly, they keep implying that these are Muslim terrorists. They keep saying things like "not to profile, but can we figure out where these guys are from, like Yemen or somewhere." And they keep suggesting that they may have links to Al-Qaeda. Way to jump the gun, Chris Matthews.
This is where I see the media fueling and misdirecting people's anger toward the perpetrator. AlQaeda has posted instructions on who bombers should target - (large gatherings such as athletic events) and how to build pressure cooker bombs. That definitely does profile someone who supports their cause - be they American or foreign when this incident follows their guidelines. I certainly would not rule it out unless eveidence leads in a different direction.
You know, this site really rocks. I'm watching CNN still speculating about that type of hats they were wearing and how important that could be in finding them....and we've all known what the caps were for quite a while!
Ok, you can quibble with my using the word "known" - though I feel pretty damn confident on the Bridgestone one - but I feel like we're a hundred times more accurate and responsible than CNN who reported someone was arrested the other day...
Could be white, could be Middle Eastern. Maybe Mediterranean. No way to know until we catch them. My mind is really playing tricks on me, because White Hat looks like the guy who sold those stupid radio controlled balloons at the Rockingham Mall around Christmas.
I think you should definitely call!
Did you ever notice if that guy had a limp or walked with his right leg bowed out?
I keep thinking of how the DC sniper was caught the same night his photo and license plate # was released. I'm very hopefully that these guys names will be known by morning.

Lurker de-lurking to agree that you should call. Please do.

This is where I'm at. I don't care how underground you are. Somebody knows who you are. And now your face is all over the country.
If they aren't out of the country already, I think these guys are screwed.
I have to change the channel, because CNN is absolutely killing me.
I wonder how much they pay their "experts" to come up with gems like "These guys don't look like lone wolves. They look very confident, like the kind of guys who like to go to parties a lot and hang out on Facebook. Hopefully someone who sees these pictures will remember them from a party."
Really? Three seconds of them walking down a street told you they were party animals?
Where do I apply for this job? In his defense, Anderson Cooper seemed a bit shocked by the level of brilliance that preceded him and was stricken dumb.
So you know the FBI is gonna get a ton of calls but you're in the area - I'd call them with that info. You never know.
I would too. People have called in tips over much less than this.
Another person who thinks that you should call. Here is another picture of the suspect. Attachment Deleted Sorry it's so tiny. It was a screengrab that I took from reddit. This was taken after the explosion.
ETA: I see the poster before me posted the same pic. Sorry for the duplicate.
If that kid (and I say kid because he looks so young) in the top left is the same kid the FBI is looking for, he doesn't have his backpack anymore.
Wow. That matches what the FBI said - that they have photos or video of white hat guy watching the explosion from a safe distance and calmly turning and walking - not running - away.
He's on the corner of Fairfield in that picture. The explosions were between Exeter and Dartmouth, just a block and a half away. Bastard.
Which side street did they take to get onto Boyleston? I'm wondering if they kept going in a straight line or if they had to turn around. He's also heading AWAY from any T-stops if he takes that corner like it looks like he's going to. Dude must live in the Back Bay or be a BU student?

You need to report it. They want all leads, regardless of how small or insignificant they seem.

I think that's a stretch to predict where he lives, he's probably just walking towards a less crowded street, less monitored street.

He's not heading away from any T stops. He's a quick walk down Newbury from the Hynes stop.

The bombs had batteries only used for remote controlled toys and they are thinking these guys were enthusiasts!! Omg this is nuts! Please call!

I know, I wasn't completely serious. But it seems to me that after pulling something like that your first priority should be to get the hell out of dodge, and get rid of any evidence. He was walking away from the Prudential or the Hynes stops, or he could have left the bomb site in the other direction to the Arlington stop. That made me wonder if there was a car picking them up somewhere or if they lived within walking distance.
Hey, I think there's more logic behind my guessing than behind CNN's "they look like party types".

There's no Prudential T stop. He most definitely could have been walking toward the Hynes stop. It doesn't seem like you know the area well enough to be commenting on directions.

Ah, ok. I never used that stop, I was thinking the entrance was on Boylston.

Please call, this may be something, it may be nothing. Let the FBI be the ones to decide.

There's also this thing called the "Hide" feature. Use it. Love it.
Well, it's pretty much both our entire families that are all right-wing whackadoodles (the few lefties/libs keep pretty quiet on FB) who make idiot comments about guns, Islam, etc. I mute them when necessary (like, oh, say after Newtown and they were posting stupid shit like "These guns are anti-government guns" and "If we had God in our schools this wouldn't have happened."), but I usually end up turning it off after a while because otherwise I miss out of legit stuff and they get all pissed at me.

There is a Prudential stop. It's on the E/Heath Street line, but he's walking away from that too as it would be across the street and on the other side of the Pru.
