Here is one of me and the birthday girl last week and one with her new wheels! It plays princess music so we push it around all day saying "The Princess is coming, the Princess is coming!" She LOVES it!
Just one more...they took these at DC last week, a photographer in the classroom. I really love it but one of her classmates is in the background and they only have them available in black and white.

10:30am on the east coast and already 4 pages!
Here are some from our week home and weekend in a hotel. Wearing his sun glasses, riding his hippo in the hotel lobby, and borrowing a Mickey graduation hat.
@tambcat Thanks! We call her bruiser, she is just that, a lil bruiser. On sunday she face planted it on the sidewalk, and now has a big roadrash on the top of her forehead. She looked like a hot mess on sunday with her new roadrash and blackeye. Her blackeye is pretty much gone now, but her poor forehead.
I'm going to be an AW and post a few of her party pics from this weekend here. It's hard to find ones that don't have other people's kids in them, so they're mostly smash-cake focused:
taking a sippy break (the best shot I got of her alone and of her whole dress):
And finally, the cake. mala , kandrze1 , laurack , monkeybabe - thank you all so much for your help on this last week. As you recall, my mom was going to help me make her birthday cake but got really sick the week before and couldn't travel. I got all the ingredients and tools that you recommended ready, and then realized I had to manually adjust the recipe for effing high-altitude baking.
I threw in the towel on Saturday morning and bought a cake at the store- I was really upset, but too overwhelmed to try it solo. On Saturday night, my father just walks in the door (my parents live 3 hours away) with a cake my mom had spent the day making and packing up for the long drive through the mountains to Denver.
It's a carrot cake (my fave), with a monkey on the top (Clara's nn). It has blue eyes (like C) and a little C on it's belly. I think I cried for two straight hours. I was sick that she couldn't be there, but she completely saved the day anyway. So, many thanks for your help. I have that thread bookmarked for another, less stressful cake-baking attempt:)
