This thread is making me laugh, too. DD turned 3 in January and has dressed herself, but it takes forever and sometimes things are backwards and usually she just doesn't want to - "But! I can't get my arms in the sleeves all by myself!" ::cue big eyes and tears::
Conversations around her dressing herself have included these morsels: "Is this right? The tag goes by my tush, right?" "Is this my tushy tush tush?" ::wiggles tiny butt at me: "I can't find my arms!" "These undies keep falling down!" "I found my arm!"
Oh shit, my 5.5 yo doesn't do knots, or bows, or shoelaces. I guess I fail at life, lol.
But seriously, all her shoes are velcro. What can I say? I bought her one of those "learn to tie your shoelaces" toy from melissa and doug last year. It is a shoe with a giant lace and you can thread it and tie it. She took it out and made a leash for her stuffed animals with it.
Oh it doesn't really matter. The way she flipped her shit I realized that I better just do it. I just didn't know. She's smart as hell and potty trained so I figured she could. I was wrong. Now if she doesn't make her own grilled cheese for lunch we are going to have issues.
