I just watched that one. I think they made the wrong pick. Yes, watch your kid and the fact that she can vocalize seeing her son plummet to his death bothered me. I didn't like her and her husband was too cute for her!
Lol, you know they don't actually pick, right? The house they "choose" on the show is already bought by them. Then they show two other houses that are usually friend's houses, and often not actually for sale.
I don't think they're usually friend's houses. My cousin's house was on HH as one of the homes that wasn't chosen. They had their house on the market for a while, but decided to pull it off and not sell. HH contacted them anyway (through their agent) because it was a good fit for the people who were HHing.
She said it was a total cluster having her house shown on TV and she'd never do it again.

I want to start a drinking game for this show. You pick that episode's catch phrase that the people spew constantly ('good bones', 'entertaining', 'updated kitchen')and you take a drink every time they say it
I love this show because I love to hate the people on it. You can always tell which house they're going to "choose" because it's the empty one w/no furniture.
I have noticed on a couple of the more recent episodes that now (since this information came out) the couples will ask or the REA will tell them that if they like any of the items in the house, they could always as the "sellers" to include them.
FFS, we ALL KNOW that you already moved in your dining room table and I see the storage boxes and ugly lamp in the corner.

Don't forget 'granite' and 'stainless steel'.
by far the most entertaining people on the show are first time home buyers who are completely delusional about what their money will get them.
