I need to go to the bathroom but I am hesitant to use the bathroom in my office because my sink still isn't fixed. I am going to have to go for a walk and use a public one somewhere, I do not like this idea.
DS #1 has started saying "why is your belly so big mama?" *sigh* I guess I need to work out harder and be better about my diet.
I don't know what we're going to do for Mother's day yet. I kind of want to keep the tradition up of taking DD to the art museum, so I might see if she'd be up for it.
I'm thinking of doing my run at lunch if the rain holds off because there's more of a chance of rain this afternoon. It's just such a pain to run, rush back home and shower real quick and get back to work during a lunch hour. It IS nice to have a free evening though.

I got 7 hours of sleep! I need more, but that was a nice start.
PF wasn't a beast this morning. I wasn't talking to her by the end of yesterday morning.
I have lots of wood burning to do tonight! YAY!
I think I'm going to stop off at Michaels tonight. Need to get more wood frames.
I will also be going to the store tonight for parmesan cheese. I have a hankering for over roasted cauliflower with olive oil and parmesan.
I have a lunch date set with that blogger I mentioned last week. I'm planning to take a sick day. Getting a massage and going out of lunch. It's a month away but it's something to look forward to!

I don't who I am. I woke up early, packed my gym bag, made my lunch AND made a very healthy breakfast. I was at work by 8am. Maybe I was abducted by aliens and don't know it yet??
I am trying to get in the habit of waking up earlier than I usually do (for classes that start in less than two weeks, squee!). That has been going very poorly. I am not a morning person.
I had to buy a new pill sorter and the only one that was big enough for all my pills was the one for old people, who have arthritis. Waaahhh. I am old.
Dixie, your lunch day sounds amazing! Also, I am inviting myself over for crafting and cauliflower.

I'm freaking exhausted! Since Saturday, I've been go-go-going with various events for DS's birthday. It was impossible to get everyone together for one thing, so we ended up doing a kid get together on Saturday morning (which was almost a disaster), dinner with both sets of grandparents on Saturday evening. Sunday was spent running errands and making the birthday cake for yesterday. Yesterday was pizza with H's friends and their kids, a pinata, and cake & ice cream. Sadly, I tried a new frosting recipe and it looked beautiful (for me at least, I have no decorating talent), but the frosting had the consistency of melted marshmallow... It was kind of disappointing.
Everyone finally cleared out of our house last night at about 10:00, and I rolled into bed without cleaning anything at about 10:30. I know there's a mess waiting for me at home now, and I have no idea what I'm making for dinner.
Oy I feel like this morning has been a waste of time for me. I got up and left the house early to purchase Brave's tickets for Fathers day. Only to find out that the box office doesn't open until 9:30 as of a few weeks ago. I made it back home and ate a terrible breakfast of birthday cake. I need to remove sweets from my house I can't not eat them. Ugh.

captainmel, I ended up doing the small ice cream cups and treat bags. Which worked out well because I forgot to buy ice cream to go with the cake last night, but I bought too many for DS to take to school.
We had temperatures in the mid 80's yesterday, so the ice cream was a huge hit!
Everyone can come to my house for guacamole. I bought a bag of avocados at Costco thinking they would ripen at different times because they were different levels of rips at the store. Nope, they are all ripe right now.
Starries, that sounds perfect! I bet DS had a super, happy birthday!

Sunday night after DS went to bed I filled his bedroom with helium balloons... I think there were about 40 when the little tank ran out of helium. He told me waking up and seeing them was his favorite part of the day! Mommy WIN!

Can you freeze avocado to use in quacamole later? I don't know, but it seems like you might be able to. Or would it turn all brown and icky? Avocados don't usually last long enough to go bad when I'm around.
OMG. Between my office and the offices of my two surgeons we may actually have a full working bathroom. My sink is still disabled due to the leak, one surgeon's bathtub faucet is running, and now the other one came to me to tell me their toilet is leaking. WHEEEE!
OH and I saw not one, but TWO spiders creeping along my wall this morning while the hvac guy was working on my radiator.

You can freeze avocado without it going brown. I do it frequently for PF. I sometimes will make guacamole in bulk and freeze it.

This may change my life... I usually want quacamole when I don't have any ingredients handy... I don't know why I never thought about freezing it and keeping it on hand like that!!

I haven't since Sunday night thanks to finals. I am tired but had coffee so I could halfass function during my final and now can't sleep, Finals always tend to screw my sleep schedule. I am also hungry but have jack crap to eat in the house.

We had a win-win dinner last night. Homemade pad thai which turned out excellent and a delicious cake. Brad must want something because he said he thought the cake was store bought just by looking at it.
Brad got cards for both of our moms this year. They are like cards from a little kid, but I won't say anything but thank you because I asked him to do it and told him I didn't care what he picked.
My maintenance man just came and summerized my swamp cooler. He asked me why I tattled on myself for the parking structure incident. I was like.. Uh.. My car is smashed. It is pretty obvious who hit it. He laughed at me.
I bought my mom a book about the real lady who inspired Cora Grantham for Downton Abbey. I kind of want to borrow it when she is done reading it. Does that make me a selfish present buyer? Maybe not because I know she will love it.

I still have to figure out what to do for my mom for Mother's Day. Last year I bought her a new shrub for her front yard landscape. It's the gift that keeps on giving!
Speaking of Mother's Day, ummm I know that imoan's due date is in 4 days and I haven't seen her around lately. Does anyone know if everything's ok? (I realize this question makes me sound like that nosy, creepy person on the interwebz, but I was thinking about her this morning.)
