i think they're cute, actually. i haven't owned a pair of sperrys since about the 5th grade, so refresh my memory - are they comfy for walking around all day? i need shoes for europe!

The first time you wear them, I got a couple blisters on the back of my ankles, but since then they have been really comfortable. So I'd wear them once before then, but otherwise you'd be good!

I think the angelfish style looks a lot better than the bluefish, which are really clunky.
I have the shoe you posted in a light leather/pink seersucker style from last year. I like them for bumming around shoes when my pedicure looks crappy.

I've never like Sperrys. That said, I just got these last week because I wanted some shoes to slip on to walk to the park with the girls...not athletic shoes, not flip flops, and good lord NOT TOMS.
I have them and love them. I didn't realize there was so much sperry hate until I came here. I am also from the sailing mecca of the world so everyone from my 3yo nephew to my parents 80yo neighbor has and wears them.
These are the ones I ordered recently after waffling on them for the past year. Sperrys are probably about as common as TOMS around here, a more casual alternative to flats but not as casual as sneakers, usually worn with cuffed or cropped skinny jeans.
Apparently I can get away with them because we have a boat. lol.

I have only ever owned the cognac all leather type, but they are super comfy once you break them in. Breaking in that leather can be horrible though. I'm not sure if the ones with canvas or fabric would be easier to break in. I'm guessing yes.
Also - some of them have different insoles than others with more cushioning. You may want to check them out in stores. Mine have the plain gum rubber sole which is meant for being on a boat. Not the cushiest but still a comfy flat.
I love my Sperry's and I've had one pair in use at all times since I was 16. I wore Sperry's before they were cool yo! I also lived on a boat, so that was a pretty big factor.

I love my Sperry's. I have a pair that is tan with just a little bit of pink plaid on the sides. I walked all around San Francisco and other areas of CA in them last year. They are SO comfortable.
