Thanks to J. Crew, I now own several pairs. The 3 inch inseam City Chinos to be exact, and I don't hate them, much to my surprise. My sister was chiding me the whole time, but I love my new mom shorts. She can suck it (in her little tiny short non-mom shorts).
Are these really considered mom shorts!? I own a few pairs and I thought they were cool? I mean, I have a neon pair... That MUST be cool.
I got a bunch of fun colors too, so I think they're cool! But yes, to me they are considered mom shorts because if I were not a mother, I would not have bought them. Butttttt I love them very much and am happy I did. They are cool-mom-shorts:)
this is all i wear - the jcrew ones are so comfortable and wash so well. I have like 20 pairs in all different colors (and unfortunately sizes). My favorites are hot pink, go mom.
Well I owned them before I was a mother so I guess I was destined to be a loser mom!
Oh lord stop it, you are not a loser mom! I am a loser mom because I purposefully purchased a couple of colors in them that I knew would match some of DD's little summer outfits. I'm THAT mom, so embarrassing!

I have the hot pink! Here I am, pre-children, in all my Oprah glory

Are these shorts spendy? I need some shorts, and I am liking this 'mom' shorts idea!
They were $40 or so. I forget how much exactly. But my aunt got a bunch of shorts that as pretty much the same ad the J. Crew ones at the Gap the other day because they are having 30% off with a coupon- worth checking out!

Here they are. Again, to eCh their own. Everyone's body is different and is comfortAble in different things. I don't think these are too short, but that's my opinion.
Ok, I need shorts so badly. It's going to be in the 80s here today, but I have zero shorts that look ok on me and look appropriate on a mom, but don't go up to my ribcage. Maybe these will become The Shorts? JCrew you say?
I like these because they come up just high enough to cover my baby belly, without being high waisted (aka up to my ribcage) and tight.

They look great on you and I love the color! 3" inseam is like booty shorts on me, so I rock the 5".
I just returned a pair of 3" shorts because they were too short on me. They were squarely in the hoochie short camp. (this was just on me though, that length would be perfect on others)
I also just ordered a pair of the 4" hot pink shorts from JCrew on Tuesday. I had no idea they were such a must buy item.
I tried to find a picture to prove that they aren't mom shorts, but I actually do look momish in all of the ones I can find. lol. Anyway... I was 9 weeks pregnant here. And almost mom!
I think they're cute. If those are momish I'm a grandma

How do these look like mom shorts?!?
I feel like I've been walking around in mom shorts for years without even knowing it!
I really thought mom shorts were like down to the knee or something.
