I'm glad we did McD's! We had 9 little kids there and they all had a good time. DS was so worn out after everyone left that he actually asked to go home (that is super rare) and fell asleep as soon as we got into the car.

Awesome! Looks like it was a blast!
(I'm all nostalgic now for the McDonalds party my mom wouldn't let me attend as a kid... Boo. BUT it wasn't due to MD's, it was an issue with the kid that invited me...)
Also, I highly recommend McD's for anyone wanting a cheap little kid's party. For $50, you get a party for 8 kids ($5 each extra kid) that includes decorations (we added the dinosaur ones), happy meals, McD's hats, a cake (we brought our own and kept the McD's cake for tomorrow's family party), ice cream plus oreo and m&m toppings, and favors.

Looks like fun!
I used to love having birthday parties at McDonalds - they would even provide cake back then - decorated with sugar ronald mc donalds and the other characters! That was the best way to get a sugar high.
My word, that is an absolutely adorable little man! Betting you have a future heartbreaker on your hands, @godawgs!
Glad you went for it and it looks like a blast!
So.. any of the parents throw you any side eyes for choice of location?? Seriously though, I bet each parent was so impressed with how tuckered out their kid was that they're all going to start doing McD parties!
Nope, all of the parents just seemed happy that their kid was having a good time. teeah22's husband was like "I LOVE McDonald's!" and ate fries and his kid's leftover happy meal. He said it is his favorite kid's party so far. lol.

They still do the cake! I wanted a dinosaur cake for him so we brought our own, but since it was included in the package, I told McD's that I wanted to take the cake home with us. It has Ronald McDonald on it, but he's not made out of pure sugar like they were when we were kids. We have a really laid back family pizza party for his birthday tomorrow and I'm going to use the McDonald's cake for that.

Sounds good to me - very MM of you! ha
There were like 3 main places to have parties when I was a kid beside your house: McD's, Monical's (a regional pizza place), or Skateland (roller skating!! so much fun when you got 'too old' for a McD's party but not yet 'too old' for birthday parties ).
