So my six year old just walked into the living room and is all innocently "hey mom, listen to this song I know" and then proceeded to sing this (points down to video) for me... right past the first "fuckin'" to the part about "like I've got a big cock." Which is when I went from to in about .00372 seconds. He said he listens to it all the time in his dad's car. What the holy mother FUCK?!!?
Feel bad for whoever is holding my paddles for me at taekwondo in 35 minutes because I'm about to unleash a can of imaginary whoop ass to calm myself down before I call X and have a little chat about paying attention to what is going on around him.
I would be okay with the radio version, but that was not what he was singing. I would also be pissed if my 6 year old was using that word, hell I would be pissed if my 16 year old used the word cock in front of me.ETA: Or the word fuck for that matter...

Not really. I would explain to him that it wasn't ok. Kids say things and have no clue what it means. It is the parents job to redirect and correct what they feel is inappropriate. Taking "frustration" out over a kid singing, is dramatic. He did it innocently.

This could be why, I don't feel it's that big of a deal. Fuck is one of my everyday words. I curse like a sailor and hardly edit anything around my child. She knows what can be said and cannot.

LMMFAO @ anyone is says they would be just fine with their six year old walking around singing "fuck" and about his big cock.
I love the Salvation Army as much as the next person (lol) and I think this is a catchy tune, but no way in hell my kids are listening to it, especially in its original form.

I think she is more frustrated over the fact that the ex-husband had the unedited version of the song on in the car. She is directing her frustration at her ex-husband not her child.

I would say that fuck is one of my everyday words as well, but I am not 6.. I don't have children yet, but I plan to make an effort not to say it around them, because its unbecoming, lol.

Maybe their kid's first word was cock, you never know.
Well I didn't want to go here, but my kid's first sentence was, "Ma, take a look at this fucking big cock I got hangin' between these legs right here!"
I always die a little inside when I hear little kids singing songs like this with "fuck" this and "fuck" that. It is not the kind of language I would want to hear from a child.

I would not be OK with this either. It's one thing to sing the radio edit and another to let a 6 year old listen to the unedited version. I would be mad at exH also.

This really irritates me. So when your kid starts teaching other kids to say fuck, how are you going to explain to their parent's? I'm sure that's one classy way to bring up a kid.

This is weird. I'm sorry, but it is. I don't get this "do as I say, not as I do" mentality when it comes to cursing. Plus -- look. Cursing in front of kids? It's kinda crass.
I agree. Where's Tacky Patrol when you need her? lol
