I hate the feeling of water jiggling around in my stomach whole I run. And I hate carting water around...so I don't run any further than I would need to fuel up for and probably usually run dehydrated just to avoid the water jiggle.
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."
2 bottle Nathan belt and I LOVE it. Never had chafing.
Also, back when we were on the nest, I told a friend on my anniversary board I wanted a water belt. She had one that no longer fit her, so she sent it to me. My guess is enfuego23 was totally serious!
I hate carrying anything though, so my minimum requirements for it are a warm day and at least 7+ miles.
Fortunately, my long run routes do pass by a few fountains and well pumps. I don't like the taste of the well pumps, but I will drink it over carrying a ton of water.
I have a Camelbak and I was surprised how comfy it is. Doesn't move around or chafe even in the dead of summer. I feel like an idiot wearing it but its a good way to carry 40+oz of water.
