1. Double death by chocolate cake at a local vegetarian restaurant. 2. Morellis (local ice cream shop) salted caramel ice cream 3. Generic orange creamsicle
Almond Letter (I think also called Almond Blanket, Butter Letter, and Almond Roll?) OMG. Best thing ever. Flaky pastry crust filled with a super sweet almond paste filling. It tastes similar to marzipan, but sweeter, softer, and smoother.
Everything. Basically, everything. I have a huge sweet tooth.
If I have to throw out specifics, ice cream is probably my number one weakness. I'm particularly fond of ice cream w/salted caramel or heath. Salted caramel anything. When we were just in Paris, we stopped at Laduree for macarons...yep, one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth.
1. Fudgey Wudgie Cake - chocolate cake with tons of icing and fudge layers 2. Tres Leche Cake 3. Brown Butter Almond Brittle ice Cream from Jeni's (a local ice cream shop)
I have such a sweet tooth, I'll eat just about any dessert unless it has cream cheese in it.
1. I've never had it, but I'm pretty sure that enfuego23 's Fudgey Wudgie Cake would top my list. 2. Brownies 3. Ice cream sundaes with either vanilla or peanut butter cup ice cream, fudge and peanut butter sauce toppings, M&Ms, whipped cream and cherries.
Anything dark chocolate will pretty much do me in, but there is only one resturant where I HAVE to get desert (thank goodness we don't go there often). There is a chain of resturants called Ale House and they have a desert called Capt'n Jack's Buried Treasure:
Delicious home made ice cream cake with oreo cookie crust, caramel, chocolate fudge& health bar crunch
Depending on my whims, favorites range from ice cream to doughnuts to any sort of short cake or cheesecake with fruit and cream. I also LOVE pie, and now that it's rhubarb season I'm craving any sort of rhubarb sauce, pie, or baked dessert with meringue. I love peach or apple crisp.
While chocolate is fabulous, I think my favorite things are homemade, fruit-based desserts.
Almond Letter (I think also called Almond Blanket, Butter Letter, and Almond Roll?) OMG. Best thing ever. Flaky pastry crust filled with a super sweet almond paste filling. It tastes similar to marzipan, but sweeter, softer, and smoother.
A friend in Iowa sent me some once. So good!
There's no way I could pick just one dessert. I don't think there is a dessert I don't love except cheesecake.
finallykrisb - I can't believe that someone has heard of that stuff! It is a Dutch dessert that doesn't seem to be very popular in the US. Also, I think you and I are the only cheesecake haters. Ever. Haha.

It would be quicker to list things I don't prefer... -cake, meh -fruit pie, meh -bread puddings, meh
I love ice cream, cookies, tiramisu, cheese cake, s'mores, brownies, homemade butterscotch on an apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Soft serve ice cream with rainbow jimmies. cake batter. unbaked cookies. I have what they call a sweet tooth!
