If it isn't one, it is the other. Kalvin finally slept in his own bed last night after two weeks in our bed(after DH fell asleep in there with him and we put in a lamp that stayed on all night), Katelyn decided at 1 am that she "heard" Kalvin wasn't in our bed so she came in. I sleep better with him because he's past the kicking phase. We have had both in our bed all night.
We bedshare until 1 and then we transition to the crib. Both always seems to wake around 2-3 and then they come in bed.
I should've bought a king size. DH has said on a few occasions that he'll go sleep in Kalvin's twin while the kids stay with me. He has taken Katelyn over to Kalvin's bed when both have had some pretty bad nights.
I had no problem with bedsharing until recently. There would be a part of the night where she would sleep in her crib. But that's gone now. We're working on night weaning, which means I sleep on the couch and DH doesn't sleep well. It's been working out fabulously. (where is that sarcasm font?)
I chose part time would rather not, because most nights DS ends up in with me for the last couple of hours, but he sleeps on my arm so I can't roll over or anything. And sometimes DD will want to come in bed, when he's not there, and I just can't sleep with her bony knees and elbows in my back.
Plus, I want DS to be able to be a more independent sleeper. It has to happen someday, right?

We bedshare sometimes on the weekends for naps. In the first few weeks he did occasionally end up in our bed because we were exhausted. He slept in a pnp that was in our room for about 7-8 months. He often bedshares with my parents when they watch him. My parents bedshared with us for a very long time.
