so far I've gotten him a photo mug of the kids from tinyprints. I'll maybe add stuff for the grill or some man shit at home depot. Clearly I've put a lot of thought into this
H wants the Master Chef cookbook and I just ordered that from Amazon. No clue what else we'll do for him, possibly something homemade from the offspring.
I think I'm getting H a hammock. He has been wanting one for a few years, ever since we stayed in a cabin that had one.
This is the only thing we didn't get from our wedding registry and the only thing I actually cared about getting. Maybe I'll steal your idea. I think our roofdeck and H really need one
I found one of those things on pinterest, where the kid answers questions about the dad, so I think I'm going to try to get his son to do that, because I think it will be funny. And I think I might get him an Orioles hat.
I have no idea if the above is overboard or not enough, for our situation, lol.

I went a little crazy with this with regard to stuff featuring K. It's his first Father's Day and I kept finding stuff I liked. LOL.
I got him:
- a mug with K on it
- a Flatten Me picture book featuring H as the super hero (http://www.flattenme.com/us/super-personalized-book.html#)
- A sampler of some fun beers that I'm going to put these labels on (http://www.myownlabels.com/fathers-day_labels/SPS305/)
- Some pacis that are really for K (obvs) but have the Cardinals logo on them
- a triple picture frame with 5x8 pictures of K holding the letters D, A, and D
- And just now I got the Master Chef cookbook (thanks @libellula). I was debating an orange and blue tie, but he is super picky with his ties and I was pretty sure he'd not be a fan of whatever I picked out
- I also have a free photo book from Shutterfly that I'm probably going to pull together too

I am going to get him a card and a gift card, I am not sure from where yet. My H will also get to sleep in as late as he wants. And for dinner he wants to do some burgers and I will make potato salad. Nothing exciting.

A silver guitar pick keychain with her name/DOB on one side and "My Daddy Rocks" on the other. Pictures of her with her "Daddy" dress on and with blocks that say D-A-D and then a hiking backpack carrier and I'm taking him hiking on Father's Day.
Which Scotch are you getting him? H is a big fan, and I'd love to get him something awesome (but not too expensive).
He likes smoky Scotch. And sometimes peaty.
A buddy of his owns a high end liquorstore, so I just go in when he's there, tell him how much I want to spend and he knows what my H likes. Sorry, that's not very helpful. I'll ask him what one I bought him last year. He said it was smoky and really good.
I have no freakin clue what to get my H for his first Father's Day. And his birthday is the same weekend. I need it to be something good.
What are you guys getting your H's?
This is my exact situation: birthday, Father's Day and our anniversary within 2 weeks of each other! I was thinking about getting him a phone cover with a picture of him and addy, and clueless about the rest. I am a little bitter right now bc he is spending a ton of money on his training, working out and the diet plan he is currently is ridiculously expensive and we really have no extra wiggle room in our budget because of that.

I got him a groupon ticket to a local beer festival. So, the weekend after Father's Day, he gets to spend four hours tasting beers with a friend he doesn't see very often. I bought them both tickets and set it up with the friend, and I'll be driving/picking them up.
I realize this is "would you like a playdate with my husband" territory. And I would've just gotten him two tickets, but this is a VIP thing and I had to provide names in order to get the tickets.
I'll probably also get him a shirt or a GC for lunches out or something.
