Am I the only one who's been married more than 10 years? I know we got married young, but I'm starting to feel like the old married lady!
We will be celebrating 10 next Feb. We have been together over 14 years now. DH wanted to wait until I was 25 to get married, we compromised at 23. We have been together since I was 18. We have lived together for 13 years, that counts right?
Congrats! We celebrated 7 years on 4/29. This November will be 14 years but now the married number is sounding more substantial.
Hah, anniversary twins!
It is also the anniversary of the L.A. Riots which probably don't get talked about much outside of the region or the Sublime lyrics about the riots. When we picked the date we couldn't figure out why it sounded so familiar and then later it clicked.

Now I have that song stuck in my head. Even though the lyrics are wrong on the date.
ETA: I read that he was super high when they were recording, but that was the best take, by far, so they left it, even though he sang the wrong date.

Me tooooo!
April 26, 1992, there was a riot on the streets tell me where were you? You were sittin' home watchin' your TV, while I was paaarticipatin' in some anarchy.

THAT explains it! I always wondered. DH and I first went back and forth on this because he said the date was the 26th and I said no it was the 29th when it originally came up.

I need to listen to Sublime now.
O.K., totally nerdy confession but I change the lyrics to the following when I sing it even though I was not married until 2006.

Me three. And! A confession: when Max was brand new, I would sing Sublime to him --> not appropriate. It is really hard to change Sublime lyrics to make them baby friendly.

That would be a challenge.
In high school my friend and I were singing Caress Me Down in front of my friend's fluent-in-Spanish mother and she.was.horrified.
