Fuck man, I am BURNED. I went to the pool on Sunday and like a dumbass put on minimal sunblock and now I am in pain. And every damn person I see says "wow, you got some sun!" Yeah, no shit! lol
On the upside, we leave for vacation next Friday. Cannot wait!

I'm kind of freaking out because I took H's computer to work today (long story) for a toastmaster's speech which includes a powerpoint presentation. His computer is not working now! OMG, I don't know what the issue is, but it's not turning on. It was working fine when I tried it out last night and practices with it, and I don't think he's had any other issues with it. My presentation is at 12. Eek!

Disconnect the power from the laptop (at the base of the laptop), pop the battery out, wait about 5 minutes, put it back in and plug it in.
My granddaughter (Moonpie, who will be 2 in a week) got in trouble at my house a couple of weekends ago for touching the stove and now anytime anyone goes near the stove at her house she says, "Gaga say no-no!!"
She started calling me Gaga and now I think that name might stick. She called me Mimi a couple of times, and I tried to get her to call me Memaw (Memaw & Moonpie = Big Bang Theory, lol) but she never caught on to that.
H just got invited to a boys weekend in cape cod. I'm super jealous.
I watched Pitch Perfect for the 7th time last night and all the songs are stuck in my head. Because the weather is so nice, i feel like dancing around my classroom singing.
I got to see my best friend's niece yesterday. The 12 lb 9oz newborn. You guys, this kid is enormous. She's not even a week old yet and already wearing 3-6 mo. clothing.
When we got to daycare, his teacher was holding Kyle. She said "Oh no Kyle, I have to put you down. The king is here." She plopped Kyle on the ground so she could hold Henry who is apparently the King of Daycare. Henry the IX?
Don't worry, Kyle got picked up again before I left. He was seated to the right of His Majesty. Maybe they will be friends and Henry will bestow lands and titles to Kyle in the future.
Does that make me Queen Regent until His Highness is of age?

I just held my last student leadership meeting of the year. 11 pizzas, 2 packs of salad, and lots of paper later...phew. I hope they do what they are meant to do over the summer (welcome new students - we get about 60+ every year into the high school, not including our 8th graders coming up).
My sister is getting married this weekend & I'm really happy & excited for her but some of her stuff is a hot mess and I'm not sure if I should tell her because it really is too late. The church location - she told me it was at one intersection not too far from my house and I was like ummm, there's no church there. Oh, no it's at such & such intersection. My H goes through that area sorta regularly & is like "I've never seen a church there" - he rides out there yesterday and finds it. He comes home & tries to map it with the address on the invite (since it was bugging him) and it turns out she put the wrong city and the address on the invite will actually take people about 10 miles south of where they should be.
They don't have an address for the reception - just the building on campus. I mentioned this to her right after I got the invite & she's all "well everyone said people would know how to find it" umm, no, no they won't and they will struggle to park in the right place. Last night I ask her if she needs anything - nope all is good. I ask her if they're doing programs because I thought we could put the reception address there - "no, we didn't even think about them"
I'm not sure if I should say anything because it really is kinda too late but I want people to actually show up for her wedding!
Going to enroll kids in daycare today!! Woot woot. They will go Monday - wed and be with one of is on Thursday/Friday. Super happy for a flex schedule. Although working Saturdays will suck sometimes. But at least I can pick and choose.
I'm getting nervous about leaving my baby. but I can't wait for ds to be back. Lol. 4 year olds NEED to be in preschool. And surrounded by other 4 year olds.
There is water all over our basement. I think the HVAC system is leaking. I shut off the AC and I think my brother is going to come over tonight and check it out. It's times like these that I hate when H works out of town. I am the least handy person ever and I generally lack common sense when it comes to home-related repair-like things.
On a brighter note, the weather is absolutely perfect today and I'm going to try and go for a run on a trail near my house after work.
I haven't watched Glee in months but I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch on TV last night, so I watched a couple of episodes that I DVR'd and I actually enjoyed them. And then I felt shame.
I have the afternoon off so I can go to DS's kindergarten graduation. I tried to get him to dress a little nicer today, but no, he must wear athletic shorts at all times (unless it's cold and then it's athletic pants). His teacher spent all year compiling stuff for each kid's kindergarten memory book with some of their work, pictures from various events (including their first day of school), etc., and at the end she congratulated the class of 2025 and wrote a personal note and, shit, it made me cry. I'm so glad she was his teacher.
I guess at least I know for sure I'm not pregnant.
This is the only great thing about a period. I never know if I should be annoyed or jump for joy.
Which is how it was when I was younger. Who knew getting a period would still bring those emotions 5 years into marriage? And after two kids, I think I am even more excited to not be pregnant than when I was 20 and my boyfriend was gonna make it big in his band and I thought I might be pregnant. Lol.
I'm exhausted. Ds had some stomach pains that the urgent care diagnosed as constipation and pushed fluids and miralax when in reality it was a perforated appendix oozing pus. So, 2-3 days in the hospital, he's sad he's missing field day, but he already had a visitor and gift!
I think the young ones infected me. Ugh. My head hurts and my throat feels weird.
We're out of coffee filters so I am just now getting my first cup in.
We've got a visiting professor coming in from Nova Scotia today. I was poking around his University's website looking for his CV and the campus is so pretty I wanted to go there.
