I just went to an interview, arrived 20 minutes early, and carried a purse to hold my wallet, keys, and the three copies of my resume they requested along with certifications and references.

1. i would never drop what i was doing to interview someone early just because they were early.
2. i'd never ding someone for showing up reasonably early to an interview, especially for an internship. 25 minutes isn't 2 hours, ffs.
3. i also heard the no purse rule when i was interviewing for law jobs and just would stick my hotel room key in my portfolio since i didn't do any interviews for which i wasn't also staying overnight at a hotel. since i didn't have a briefcase and had $0 to buy one.
I showed up 25-30 min early for my first nursing interview. I also brought in a purse. I drove 2 hours for the interview. You don't know my lyfe. Oh, and I got the job.
