Have you read the shopaholic books? How about In Her Shoes (so much better than the movie)
oh em gee.
They left out the BEST PART of that freaking book.Â
RIGHT?!??
I refused to even see My Sisters Keeper bc I loved the book so much. I heard they changed the ending. Even though the book ending was terrible, it was fantastic. It was perfect. WHY DO THEY CHANGE THE PERFECT THINGS??
Oooooo -- read The Understudy!!!!! It's so so good!!!!! I forget who it's by!

I've only seen the movie... but now I wanna know how the book ending is!!!

oh sprinkles you must read the book!!! It was shocking! It's worth the read!
I think Pinkpeony had recommended Hopeless and I read that in like 2 days. I'm reading Delerium right now which is really good as well. Thanks for all the other recommendations, I just made a huge to-read list!
Anna & the French Kiss! It's young adult if you're into that, and it's so good. It gave me butterflies, remembering that "falling in love" feeling and stuff.
I just read "Sugar of the Crop: My journey to find the children of slaves" by Sana Butler. It's nonfiction, but written in narrative style. The author did interviews with some of the last surviving children of slaves. She could have used a better editor, but it was still a riveting read.
I second the Sophie Kinsella books for beach reads- I truly LOVE Twenties Girl by her. Also- fun vampire/crime reading- Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business from Janet Evanovich. And I will second therealmc and offer to lend books via kindle!
I just finished The Pretty One by Lucinda Rosenfeld. It's basically about sibling rivalry between 3 sisters. I couldn't put it down! It got pretty juicy.

Hopeless was amazing!
Here are some other recommendations...they mainly deal with young adult relationships, but they're excellent, easy reads.
Easy Sea of Tranquility Sempre (Forever) Reason to Breathe (it's book 1 of the breathing series)

I have no desire to even go to the beach with V. The thought of lugging all that crap and then chasing her around. Bleh.
Anyway, I disagree with some of the heavier books listed here, but I agree with Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner and Jodi Picoult. I will also add Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series for good beach reading.
