And also where do you keep spare keys?
I have my car key, my house key, the keys to my parents' house, my gym swipe card thing, my Petsmart reward swipe thing and a key chain from Hawaii. Do people not do key chains anymore? Oh well.
I have a spare car key in my purse and at home. We have 1 set of spare house keys at home and my parents have a set for when they dog-sit.
My "key chain" is a blue caribeener (sp?). I have my car fab, house key, mailbox key, office key, and lab key. I have rewards cards for the regular grocery store, the fancy grocery store, and the drugstore across the street from work. C'est fin.
I keep my spare car key at home in the safe. My H's little brother (who lives in our town) has the only spare key to our apartment.
The bare minimum: my car fob, building fob, apartment key, mail key and a bottle opener.
Eta- no spare fob for the car, just mine and H's so if they both get lost or broken we're screwed. The front desk at our building has spares for our other keys in case of an accidental lock out.
A million keys for cars I sold, po boxes I no longer have, classrooms I don't teach in, and tags from stores I don't live by. Plus a NYC keychain a student bought for me.

I have my college lanyard (I don't want to grow up!), my ignition key, my car door key (my car is special, it has 2 keys), H's car key fob, office key, office key fob, house key, and a zillion reward key tags.
A little Vera wallet w my ID, debit and credit cards and health insurance cards, my work key card, a physical key for work, house key, shed key, grocery store card, petco card.

Aka, too much.
Spare keys hang on the key holder inside the front door. My parents also have a set of our house keys, as do my SIL and BIL.

I have a tri-color carabiner from REI.
Car key, house key, and a bunch of the little plastic tag membership thingies: library card, grocery store, Petsmart, Petco, liquor store, and ToysRUs.
Only keys. Specifically keys and one keyless entry fob to two cars, our front and garage doors, three different campus offices and my IL's summer house.
Car key, mail key, work key, my PetSmart rewards card, my Walgreens balance rewards card, a little yellow flip flop keychain I got from Clinique and a TARDIS keychain.
I have a little cloth wristlet thing, 1 keychain with a Mumford lyric on it (where you invest your love, you invest your life), house key, car key, mail key and parents house key.
House key, car key, lock/unlock key fab for car, automatic start key fab for car, gym swipey thing, and a wrist strap that is gray and pink. Oh, and also 2 plastic beads on a ribbon that my niece gave me a few years ago after i almost died in a roll over car accident, and she was really small, and she told me they were my "lucy" (lucky) beads, and as long as I had them I would be safe. And even though I've been a a couple of other accidents since then, I have always been fine. So they will be on my keys forever.
I have two different sets of keys: I have my truck key, truck lock fob, auto-start fob, house key, my 24 year AA coin and a medium-sized sparkly star key chain I got from DC last August.
I have a separate key chain in the shape of a flip flop that a friend got me from Hawaii that has my three office keys on it, plus I have a blingy key chain I got in DC attached to it.
I like to keep the key chains separate because once when I had my truck and work keys on one chain, I lost the whole thing. Didn't go over very well with my office since they had to re-key the entire building. Oops.

My car key DH's car key Two house keys (different doors) 5 work keys (my office, printer room, prof room, filing cabinet, mail box) Groceries points card
Car key, house key, parent's house key, storage key. Class of 08 flip flop key chain, a blue pig (from my previous job), a metal, nice key chain from my previous job, store cards (giant, weis, pet smart, etc), a pink cancer ribbon, and I think some other small crap.

he's a flashlight.
he's for stabbing.
that guy is to help me find my keys in my purse.
and then I have a fuckton of keys (our place, our old place we just sold and I haven't taken off the keys, our old mailbox, my parent's house, my car) with color coded key caps. basically, my keychain is a beast, but it's organized.
