I'm so jealous of all of you! I'm munching on quinoa granola bites and water in the backseat while DH drives through Connecticut, the longest freaking tiny state.
Yes, one of us always sits in the back with the kid. Judge away. The tollbooth people do.
I am convinced 84 is the worst stretch of highway known to man. Or at least New England. Where are you guys headed BTW?
D is taking a stupid-late nap, I need to wake her for dinner. DH is picking up my curly one and we are having fancy filet mignon and rib eyes for our adult dinner. My mom buys them from her local fancy butcher place. It's going to be a festival of beef! I instructed DH to choose a beer I like so it will likely be Red Stripe.
I'm a lightweight so I drink Red Stripe Lite!
I am laying on the bed with my cat, recovering from my day drinking rum in the sun and probing while watching Wimbloedon highlights.
I'm pretty sure our Red Stripe is the light stuff even though they sell a lite version. Now our regular RS is like 11.2oz and is bottled in the North East by the same company that produces Rolling Rock. It's not the same but I like it more than average light beer. I dislike dark and heavy beer. Oh and we did get the Jimmy Cliff tixs and it will be our first time seeing him before.

We're spending the weekend with my family in Southern Maine, the Fourth with DH's family on the North Shore, and next weekend at his family's camp in NH. We have M-W free and are hoping to camp at Moosehead Lake and hike Katahdin, but the weather isn't looking promising. Our backup plan is ether more time in Southern Maine or a few days in Bar Harbor and Acadia.
We're on the never-ending stretch of 495 now. Another thirty minutes here, a quick hop across NH, and I'll be home!
